CONSTELLATION PEGASUS yea I mean a lot of those pieces I got specifically to show people how to clean for the video. There’s a lot of times I pass on Pyrex now because they price point isn’t right. I also try to price Pyrex to help move quick, it’s a competitive market at times as well. There’s a lot of pieces out there though that fetch much more money too! Ma Dukes is a champ, she holds me down and I’m fortunate to have her in my corner in life and in business!

@@overtheyearscollecting Well, after they were cleaned, they looked really good. I think a lot of people would've passed some of them by, just because of the way they looked before they were cleaned. Having the "know-how", of how to clean them, makes a ton of difference. Has Pyrex hit a bit of a soft spot lately, unless it is something really special? It hasn't escaped me, what Ma Dukes does -filming your videos, packing, cleaning the pieces...keeping you in line 😉 If she up and decides to retire on you, that could be cause for panic 😲😱

Baking soda works really well also, it doesn’t scratch it. I keep a bottle mixed with water, vinegar and dawn dish soap for cleaning and I get my dish wet then sprinkle the baking soda on and if it’s got a lot of baked on stuff I spray it with the vinegar solution. It comes right off!

As a pyrex fanatic I died a little inside when I saw the all that abrasive stuff. Absolutely, under no circumstances do you use abrasive cleaner or razors on pyrex. The best method with zero effects to the finish is cleaning with oven cleaner. I know this sounds weird because it’s so harsh but it doesn’t harm the finish at all. It literally melts the grim and sticky stuff right off. Spray it down, put it in a garbage bag and let it back in the sun for an hours. After that wash thoroughly and use Peek to get rid of any utensil markings. That’s it. If you want to rub some coconut oil on it for more gloss, go for it.

Use baking soda, it’s non abrasive and the stuff comes right off! Wet it and put baking soda on it let it sit a few minutes and use a rag, comes right off!

I've seen some serious stuff on Pyrex and the only thing I ever use after a hot soak for 10-15 minutes is a combo paste of baking soda, vinegar and Dawn dish soap. Once in a blue moon a paste of comet. I use a scotch pad and gently rub. Irks me how people will over bake something in a Pyrex.

Not sure I understand the difference between beveled edge on the refrigerator dishes...could you show the difference side by side in a future video if you come across one to compare. Also, do you find the Peek product adds a shine to the Pyrex?Washing dishes has never been so much fun!

Kabby Stevens The beveled edge just means it kind of slants back in towards the dish as opposed to a round or flat edge. The peek definitely adds a little shine I’ve seen people say it can completely change the look but sometimes I feel like it’s a lie. That being said, it does do wonders! You can't. That fading is because someone put the dish in a dishwasher and it took off the paint. NEVER put pyrex in the dishwasher.

Can you use Peek on the design parts? For example, the white snowflakes on the turquoise casserole dish at 19:06 minutes. In another video that I watched about cleaning vintage Pyrex bowls, the person who posted the video said the Peek would take the designs off. Is that true? Thanks!

Faith, I have never had that issue happen before, I have seen some glassware have that issue even with tape taking off gold gild etc... We have cleaned hundreds and hundreds of pieces of Pyrex with Peek over the design and have never come across that problem before. My suggestion would always be to us a smaller amount at first and ease through those areas till you are 100% comfortable using the product to clean your Pyrex. What do you do if you have scratches on the pattern?

Are the scratches black or white? Hold the piece up to the light, does the light shine through the scratch or not? Unfortunately if the scratches are white and the light shines through them there is nothing you can do. Hopefully the scratch on the pattern is only on one side and you can display the other side without noticing the scratches.
