Thank you very much for this video. I have a tip for you: when your tomato’s blooms are open, take a small brush and ‘fertilize’ the flowers by brushing the pollen on each blossoms. I am trying to grow parsley in my system which,thanks to your great videos, I have set up yesterday. Good luck with your tomatoes.

Does your pump have a filter that should be rinsed out?

I am just about to do the first water change on my Yoocaa 12 Hydroponics Growing System, similar to yours. I would be massively grateful for some advice please....... ① When you lay the top part on its side, does that damage the plants ? ② Can I trim some of the roots that are taking up a lot of space and entangling themselves in the pump and around other roots ? Many thanks 👍🏼 🌱

If you want to monitor your nutrient levels in the IDOO kits purchase a cheap EC meter for $10 and read about using one, this will tell you when you need to change the water. I purchased the 7 pod IDOO kit a few months ago and it opened up a rabbit hole into hydroponics, we now have the 12 pod kit, 10 pod kit and we've setup a proper grow room using larger lights made by Spider Farmer and ViperSpectra. The IDOO kits are great for leafy greens but somewhat lack in power to produce full fledge fruits or vegetables. BUT the IDOO reservoir themselves are very handy. We have our 7 pod reservoir setup under a 150 watt ViperSpectra LED grow light, you should see the results. :P..

Wow that’s awesome thank you for sharing all of the tips. I’ve been thinking about getting a meter to track the levels, I think I will.

Hi and thanks for your helpful videos. This is my first hydroponic system - how do I know when to add water? Should it always remain full?
@EverCrest2 жыл бұрын
Hi Judy, yes you want to keep the water level fairly consistently full, there should be a little window on your system that will show you the water level. If not you can just peek under the lid to see where it’s at

Everybody should clean your complete system every 2 weeks. And when you pull your plants out of your system try not to get any sun light or any kind if light on to your roots. Because it will cause damage to your roots. I've been using bleach to clean my systems for over 10 years with no problems. Just mix 10 parts water to one part bleach. And use a rag to clean your system. Then when I'm done cleaning the reservoir, I put my pump into the bleach mixture and run it for a few minutes. Then I put the pump in plain water to rinse it. Also make sure you rinse your reservoir with plain water real good. But definitely every 2 weeks. Another thing for the people asking about distilled water or ro water. Anytime you use those types of waters you have to make sure you reintroduce the minerals that or missing in those waters. For example like cal-mag. Good luck

Hey! Thank you for this helpful video! I thoroughly enjoyed it :D I just had a question. I bought the same IDOO 10 pod system last week, and I was hoping to know how often do I have to clean the tank container?
@EverCrest2 жыл бұрын
Hello 👋, it is recommended to clean your system every 4 to 6 weeks. Happy growing!

I'm new to this, but isn't it possible to put those cuttings in a container with water to grow roots and basically create a new plant? I'm wondering if that would work at this stage.
@assog5737 Жыл бұрын
Yes those cuttings can be cloned. Just put the cuttings into another system. I'll give you a little tip, in regards to cloning. What you want to do is, right before you put the new cutting into a new system or cup of water. Is to cut the end of the cutting again at a angle and put it into the water right away. What happens when you are trying to take clones is. Lets say you want to take a few cuttings ( clones ) off of a plant. So take a clone, set it on the table, then you take 2 more and set them on the table. Then you go and set up your system or get a glass of water to put them in. Well what happens is the cut end of those clones start drying close. And will close up within a minute. That's why you should clip the end again. Almost everything I grow is from clones. I take hundreds of clones a month. Because I sell them. And for years I've been getting hundred percent success rate. And I clone with aero cloners. Good luck.

FYI, math is wrong. 5 ml of nutrient per liter of water means 4.5 liters requires 22.5 ml, NOT 30 ml.

I tried several videos and noone shows how to remove the filter. Except one guy who fully disassembled the pump. Mine is just don't go out
@awildapinillos30902 жыл бұрын
In other videos with other systems (different number of pods) you also remove and clean the filter, is that not needed with the 10-pod system??? Please advise asap! Thank you.
@EverCrest2 жыл бұрын
As long as all of the vents and tubes are clear, I don’t find it necessary to pull it out. To be very thorough you could.
@awildapinillos30902 жыл бұрын
OK, thank you. Will you kindly consider showing how to remove and clean the filter in the 10-pod because it is different from others. Thank you!
@awildapinillos30902 жыл бұрын
So, can you please demonstrate how to clean the filter in the 10-pod if I should want to. When I did the first cursory cleaning, I did notice some "stuff" caught up in it, so I would like to know how to do this without breaking anything. Perhaps others can benefit from this demonstration (for this specific model) too. THANK YOU!

I just found your channel and it’s amazing. I am a 22 italian university student, moved out of my house last year and im looking for a hydroponic system, i miss having my garden. I found the 7 pods system (red one, like your) at 66 euros, would you suggest it to a single student? thank you so much

Yes that one is really good, but my favorite in this one. kzbin.info/www/bejne/anK5pppmaKqUn5I Either system is a great option.

Thanks for the update. Have you considered using distilled water in the iDoo? I have several Aerogardens and have been filling them with distilled water since we have a softener and I don't want the additional salt going to the plants. I'm new to this but have heard distilled water can be used and I'm thinking it might be better long term for the pumps (less mineral build up). Also, yeah, I too don't like to cut away extra (healthy) plants. I thought it was just me, glad to see I'm not alone :-)
@EverCrest2 жыл бұрын
Yes distilled water would be the best. I think the company actually suggests that. I have a hard time buying water because we have great well water here… except for the excess calcium lol. I should give it a try though I’m sure it would be much easier on the pump.

@@EverCrest Well I sure appreciate your updates on the hydroponics. I'm in Texas so my outdoor garden is almost done now so I've switched my focus to indoors. Thanks so much for your tips, etc.

How do you clean it for the first time before set up? Step 3 of the installation instructions says "Now you can wash your water tank" but it doesn't say how to wash it.

Do you still use tin foil to prevent mold on your 12 pod system? I just got one for Christmas and saw your first video but noticed you didn’t do that for this stayem
@EverCrest2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t for this system. It seems to be okay without it so far.
@ferretocious2 жыл бұрын
I have never found any proof that tin foil does anything to prevent mold. A lot of people claim it does but no real proof. What I did read is that putting foil on them traps the moisture and intensifies the heat which is going to cause mold to grow MORE!
@halo2mukee2 жыл бұрын
@@ferretocious interesting, thank you for letting me know, my plants have been doing fine with the foil so far but I’ll leave it off on the next pod that I plant to see if there’s a difference
@ferretocious2 жыл бұрын
You should have removed the extra plants after their first set of real leaves appeared. Letting it go this long you've stunted the growth of the plant you're going to keep since it's having to share such a little space. There's also no way at this point to remove the roots of the plant you're removing without damaging the roots of the one you're keeping. Whereas when you do it when it's just a little seedling it's a simple little pluck with a pair of tweezers.

Use distilled water less clean up
@EverCrest2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s true. The company actually recommends using distilled water. This is maybe a, do as I say and not as I do situation lol.

Thanks for this helpful video; the 10-pod is the latest addition to my iDOO collection, which also includes three 12-pods and two 20-pods. You didn't mention removing the screen on the pump; iDOO recently added a video on removing and cleaning the filter screen in the 10-pod. Unlike the 12s, the pump on the 10 is not totally removable. The iDOO video is at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJXHpqqQe96ahq8
