Hey Rob! Great tips on cleaning air exchanger. I have an air exchanger myself at home. I noticed during winter time, I get a condensation build up at the bottom of my windows. I imagine it's caused by the humidity level in the house. Is there a way to get rid of or minimize the build up by modifying the settings on the HVAC system?

Sorry to note thet you forgot to disconnect the power to HRV for safety purposes. The core looks like its made of card board. Should it be washed? Also would you add how and when should we use the fan controller unit on the left side of your HRV. I mean when should we set low or high fan speeds I guess! Thank you so much for the insight.👏👏👏

Any suggestions on how to clean out the tubes that the water through the two value at the end of the video.

Disconnect them from the unit and take them outside. Put some water in them and blowhard. That should be enough to move the water throughout the tubes freeing any blockages. If you want the gunk cleaned out use a pipe cleaner or buy new tubes as they are inexpensive.

I have also transparent tubes under my heat exchanger but never I have seen one drop of water since 2010. Inside always dry...this normal?

@@robertgrlic6505 Depending on where you live and the climate you may not see water. I live in the eastern side of Canada so in the winter months the warm air leaving my house heats up the cold air entering the HRV unit causing condensation and that is the water that drains in the tubes. In the summer months, there isn't any water draining from the unit. Also, you will want to check your control to make sure your unit is set to the proper settings throughout the year. You don't want the unit turned off in the winter but you also do not want to have it running too much either.
