Used this after I remapped duplicate images, you know those ending with .002, .003 etc that you get when you copy objects with the same image files between .blend files. The packed .blend file went from 1.6GB to 0.6GB. Peachy.

what if i have nothing to purge but file size is still 9 gb for some reason? and when i export literally every object in the scene into fbx and then reimport into a new .blend its just 50 mb

reduce texture sizes, can do it via addon en mass
