How to clean your nesoberi! (Plushes)

Howdy there! This time I wanted to make an informational video on how to clean plushies. I love my nesos and wanted to share how I clean mine. It can be confusing looking online since everyone one has their own method. I hope I could make it easy to understand. Also these cleaning methods can apply to all plushes in general. Actually it worked! When I was about to clean my soiled Riko nesoberi. I was worrying about the damages but she was fine after I cleaned her, plus she smells really good because of lavender scent of detergent! Thanks!!

TIP! I just washed my nesoberi in the washing machine and she is super clean again. Was honestly not expecting her to make such a recovery. My only tip though, make sure their arm is not resting against the side of the machine if you have a top loader because the thread holding the arm to the face took some damage. Her face was also squished a little by the wall but that was easy to fix by moving the stuffing inside. Still be careful about the face and arm rubbing the side of the machine. That's all! You probably shouldn't do this on the regular though because it's very intense, my nesoberi was 2 years old with some serious dirt but next time I will be handwashing for sure as well as taking more care that she doesn't get dirty. (Which will be hard as simply snuggling them will bring dirt)

@@gruvyboi7191 its okay even if you didn't mention that it's still a nice tutorial video for those first time owner of nesos... my other problem now though is a drying area for my neso cause after hand washing them I let them dry in my room on top a latop table with a clean towel on top then dry them using my fan since my room is small though its sometimes hassle to move around :D especially now that my 3rd neso is coming this christmas and its a snow halation costume which will be hassle to maintain because of the dust problems i have in my room(window is next to a busy road plus no aircon)

Jhay Quesea it’s always awesome to get a new neso!! What I do to reduce dust in the summer. Is using a window fan and putting an air filter behind it. At hardware stores they shouldn’t be too expensive.

I would personally put each neso in a tied pillow case and add extra sheets. That way each plush has enough padding to keep them safe.

You should wash it either if it starts to smell or if you see dirt on it. If you don't touch it at all once a year is ok. If you handle it ever so often, a wash every couple months will be good.

Mr. Louis every couple months should be fine, but if you handle it a lot maybe more frequently. I personally use the machine method since it’s faster. I put the hand wash method just in case people think their washing machine is harsh.

hi, i have a question regarding cleaning japanese plushes like this... i have a 15-cm danganronpa nuigurumi but i did not wash it for 4 years. tried washing it the other day, but apparently it still has infiltrated dust inside the fabric and i've no idea how to clean the dust. tips please! i wanna be meticulous in treating this nuigurumi.. should i use mild detergent (detergent for baby's fabric) or is it ok to soak it in lukewarm water with baby shampoo? thanks!

For washing delicate fabrics I personally use woolite as detergent. A mild detergent would be fine to use. I was wondering how you washed it the first time?

@@gruvyboi7191 yes! it still has dust inside the fabric. it's like, dusty inside (?) the layer of the fabric when i see it under the light (hope you get it...). it's still dirty in some parts, too :( so to ensure more safety in the second try: 1. should i NOT scrub it using gauze? if not, could you recommend me plush-friendly fabrics to scrub the dirt & stains? 2. i just bought a bottle of baby shampoo... (not a baby fabric detergent) which one would be more effective to cleanse the dirt inside and on the fabric? ah also to add: this nuigurumi is not squishy like yours! it's kinda... hard (?) i hope you don't mind me asking too many qs! ^^; thank you!

@@Alisa-wb4dp it’s no problem at all I want to help the best I can. Using a gauze should be fine. A soft sponge would be fine too. I would say detergent would work better than shampoo. You could also try to use warmer water. Warmer water might help the detergent work better. But no hot water.

Zen Dillon Anything you basically need to follow the same steps I took to wash them in a washing machine. After puting the neso in a pillow case I would say the main focus should be on adding enough padding around them. Add a good amount of sheets. If the machines have a delicate setting thats even better.

Nicco Makuda don’t worry! I’ve washed my keychain neso before and it turned out good. Instead of a pillow case I put her in one of my shorts pockets that seals so she won’t tumble around too much.
