How to clean your Red Wing moc toe soles!

This is how I clean my Red Wing moc toes soles. I used to dread this task, but now it’s quick and painless!

My family is from Red Wing MN. In 1952 Red Wing Shoe Company (locals refer to it as "the Shoe") introduced the original Oro Russet Leather moccasin toe hunting boot. The company needed a beautiful Irish Setter to use in their advertising. My Grandparents had a registered matched pair. Mike & Colleen. Mike was the original! Red Wings Rule!

How do you keep the stitching so bright white?

I just make sure to brush them when I clean the whole boot. I usually use some saddle soap and a toothbrush

@@ryanwitt9174 no. Wash or brush off any mud and then just apply toothpaste with toothbrush and rinse clean afterwards. Keeps sneaker soles and the leather (if white) looking boxfresh. My 875s were worn on a long river walk the weekend and were caked in mud but cleaned last night and now soles fresh and white again.

I recently cleaned the soles of my Red Wing Moc Toe 1907s. I used white saddle soap, kitchen paper towels and a teaspoon. I rubbed in the saddle soap, and then scraped it off with the edge of the spoon. I then cleaned up any excess with the kitchen paper towel. The use of the spoon really helped as it literally scraped the dirt off that was freed-up by the saddle soap. I got this method from a Rose Anvil video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aZS6fmqNbtuAgJY

Well yeah it's never gonna go back to full bright white but it looks way better
