How to clean your stove glass

I put some water on a ball of scrunched up toilet paper or tissue, squeeze it out, then put one drop of washing up liquid on the tissue. With this, the film on the glass can be removed with a firm rub over. Another ball of scrunched-up tissue to dry the glass, and the job is done. I do this the morning after every firing of the stove to prevent deposits from building up. I have been doing this for years and with several different stoves, and have always had clean glass.

We was lucky enough to get one of these free from the stove installers,,it's brill. Never had to use it while burning logs but if i burn smokeless fuel,,then it's always used. I didn't no that it cleaned the hob though,,thanks for that one,,the days of using ciff on that are gone.

The sponge works, just one word of warning, if your burning anthracite make sure theres no shards of anthracite anywhere on the stove glass, 3:18 because if it gets between the sponge and the glass it. will scratch it

I wouldn’t of ever thought of anthracite as having a greater hardness than ceramic glass? I’ve not encountered this before, but thanks for letting us know!

We have tried, its works, and it works really well, but the price is expensive... If u look around u can find similar type product, but much cheaper... Great Video 👍

Interesting. I have to say, we have a fire everyday in the winter, last winter for 6 months straight. Most just burns off again with a good fire? I probably clean ours 3 or 4 times in that period. I do use a cleaning product and some kitchen wipe. You do get some stubborn stains in the corners? I do always though, leave it open after to let it all go away? Flue is usually still warm so it evaporates anything left? Just the way I do it? I might try some of these.

Yea you can. I never bother really, but that’s my own laziness. I’ve no doubt things will work better if kept clean.

I have tried it on all types of glass and never had an issue, so you should get on fine.
