Setting a timer has been a game-changer for me! I used to clean all day, too, and couldn't figure out where the time went! But most of it was mindless wandering or procrastinating, LOL. These were great tips and I love watching you clean in double time. :)

I do my cleaning in the week but for the past few years always wash our bedding on a Sunday. I wash it in the morning and put back on afternoon/evening. I love getting into clean bedding and it feels like I’m one step ahead already having it done on a Sunday. Along with a planning session (including meal planning), emptying the bins and clearing out my handbag, I feel set up for the week ahead

I fold my towels the exact same way. My husband said I was the only person on the planet to fold them that way and has made fun of me for the last 26 years so I had fun showing him this video and telling him that I am not alone in awesome towel folding techniques. They stay folded on a shelf, can be file stored in a basket or drawer and simply look nice and stay in place.

I've had 3 steamers. A big standing one and 2 hand held ones. In my personal opinion. They are very fast and convenient, however they don't give you that nice crisp edge you would want for a school uniform or for your work clothing.

I agree - I think a steamer is great to freshen up trousers or blazers. If you want to get wrinkles out of a shirt, ironing is still the best, unfortunately :o

Being a mnimalist empty nester home makes cleaning and organizing easy, but I find your videos very inspiring. Adopted your thing with having similar area rugs. Have three spaces; bathroom, beneath sink and by the patio door, that all use the same type rug. Easily cleaned and interchangeable. Have a wonderful week

I have only recently discovered you but I have been trying to follow some of your hints. Each morning I scrub my shower while I'm in there, wipe my basin and toilet ( I go to work between 430am and 5am) I try to do the dishes each night. These little things you have suggested make a big difference especially since I would most weekends too. I can then relax when I get time off thanks🎉

Thanks, I really, REALLY, needed this today. Last day of summer, with a 26°C expected, so I'll launder and line dry before the 15°C expect in a few days. Air the flat as well and a good scrub down. I usually listen to a podcast whilst cleaning.

Hi, and thanks so much for watching! I've never done a full video on folding, but I definitely could...all my coloured cleaning cloths are from Daiso, so are the white microfibre cloths which I use for make up remover / face cloths 🙌🌷🙌

You are so inspiring with your swishy cleaning in your lovely home! So good that your boys are involved as well, I believe firmly that kids grow on having tasks at home. And they will know how to take care of their own home in the future 🙂 By the way, you don’t have to worry about cleaning your rags from the bathroom/toilet separatley, germs die in a hot wash with detergents, the other things in the washer can’t get infected. Better that you are thorough about washing your hands after the cleaning, or use gloves. Love from a Swedish microbiology lab technichan 🤓

I used to wash my sheets every day and when I met my husband he was shocked and asked me why I did that. It was because I loved fresh sheet day so I made sure I had fresh sheet day every day. He changed so many things in this house and my ocd 😂

I love clean sheets! We have breakfast in bed on a Sunday and then change the sheets. I clean out my shower drain every time I was my hair. Which is twice a week as my hair is very curly and is best that way.

Shower: yes, cleaning after each use is very wise. I "squeegee" walls and floor to prevent soap build-up, and dry shower door. Thanks for all your excellent videos!

Totally love fresh sheets. I use baby laundry detergent...smells amazing. 🤷🏻‍♀️. I just discovered the Malm hydraulic bed from IKEA. I live in a two bedroom apartment as well and have A LOT of IKEA furniture but never heard of this bed. Oodles of storage! Thought you may be interested too. Love your vids from over here🇨🇦❤️

Having cleaning products at the ready is a good tip. I often find myself leaving the kitchen to get cloths from the laundry and end up cleaning in there. The struggle is real lol. I need a little cleaning caddy.

I just purchased a Steamfast steamer. Very reasonable from Walmart in the states. I love it. Mine doesn’t work on 2 fabrics. But I love it.

I have a “Shark” clothing steamer it’s awesome. Better than the iron, gets out stains, odor & there’s an attachment for creases if you want them. No dry cleaning bill either.

I have a steamer. It works for certain fabrics like T shirts, but doesn't give the same crisp feel and it takes longer to do.

Thanks so much for the inspiration. My bathroom seems to be the only place of sanity because I find it easy to clean as I go. I wipe down the sink and shower after each use. I hate hair in drains so I tend to stick my hair to the shower wall and collect it as I go. That was I just scoop all the hair off the wall and throw it in the bin when I’m finished my shower. It works well. Since I’ve started wiping my shower down after each use my drain doesn’t get gross and I don’t feel as bad picking up the one or two hairs that I missed. Hope that helps. You’ve helped me so much. Thanks :)
