Ab thoda easy ho gaya hai, 2017 me to bas 36 candidates hi written clear kar paye the pure bharat se bas. Mene 2 bar cds, 4 bar afcat pass kiya tha, par 2017 TA nahi kar paya. Itna tough. Unki aankhe khuli 36 dekh ke phir thoda easy kar diya.

@@Vivek_Chauhan-ng4mo usually they don't care about the jobs but they just need to know whether you are well settled and financially stable because they don't want you to file cases against them for not giving you salary while you are not on duty. That's what I have heard. I have seen guys who are you-tubers and with corporate jobs who join TA as in they are recommended but in reality there is no such thing as having 2 careers side by side and corporate bosses create many problems. So many male officers work hard in the beginning and join the permanent staff of TA and become eligible for pension etc. Before the age of 25 you can transfer to regular army for non tech corps only. However, some people are saying before 30 is allowed but I don't think so, I think it's only before 25. Some answers are wrong and misleading on quora about TA even by some ex TA and regular army Offrs themselves so please verify from the recruitment centres of TA nearby. Also, Ssb is strictly about OLQs of candidates, questions on your job will be asked only during personal interview. GTO might ask a bit just to know you but see ssb assessors can differ from each other. Some disgruntled assessors might care and therefore ask you more questions on how will you serve if your corporate boss doesn't allow and blah blah they just wanna know your situation reaction. Some won't ask, only observe your performance in tests and give result according to your performances so be ready to answer confidently. However don't worry whether they will prefer you or not after reading those quora answers. That's not your job. Your job is to give exams, if they have questions they will ask. INFACT, it's good if they ask because that might mean they want to keep you but be confident and ready. If they dont ask, that's good too. I met an uncle who is in TA and he had a share market job something, didn't seem like a formal job but he worked hard and became a part of permanent staff so they just want you to declare that they are not responsible if you are not on duty. They care about your OLQs more than the job you have. However some Ssb experiences differ. Some candidates say that they prefer govt job candidates. It might be. Ssb has fallacies just like civil services. But many assessors ignore the nature of a candidate's profession and strictly only observe OLQ. It's about luck also. However I have met many officers from TA who never had a govt job, we're either from corporate or self employed and today they are eligible for pension also and many have received commendations also. So while there is some truth to it, the argument isn't entirely valid and true for all. The only thing you can blame is luck then. However, they say they don't make merit list. Merit list isn't released but they do know who performed very well in the written otherwise they wouldn't send you any call letters. After all this, police verification is done and then you are selected for TA. So don't just read all those answers on quora, many are misleading. It's better to ask an official from TA. My answers are strictly based on what TA officials told me during January 2024 and my observations on there previous professions and experiences as told. So if you have more questions, always approach TA recruiting office nearby, be diplomatic and ask them questions on these. Biggest mistake is to ask a regular army officer about TA until he served in TA previously and transferred to regular. So all the best and may you become an officer in the Indian army as soon as possible. TA is under Indian army. They work separately but it's an ad-hoc branch. Without Indian army, there will be no reserves.
