Perfect solution. I needed to install a version of TiViMate on my son's FireStick and I had deleted the APK from my FireStick and couldn'r find the specific link to the modded version I was using and this allowed me to copy the app from the apps folder and save it to my USB drive that I could them take to his FireStick and install it from there. @@pjmcg1771 plug the new firestick in. Install MiXplorer on to it. Turn on the FTP server and you will be able to access it from your PC again. You can then drag across the apps to the downloader folder

I'm looking to backup my second slow gen FTV stick to a 4k version but only if i can transfer passwords and save cache data as well, example i no longer have xfinity cable yet 2 years later my fire tv stick gets to login to public wifi which i use at work on a wall projector. Since this is my only device that has all my stuff the way i like it, it also has free wifi lol! So anyway does your method back up passwords as well?

This video is excellent and well explained! Just what I needed. Just fyi, I actually wanted to transfer apps from my firestick to my Google TV I just bought. I knew the process was possible because both Google TV and Amazon Firestick use Android/APK files. But didn't know how to transfer. So this video worked for that too. So, to anyone out there, you can transfer from the Firestick to Google TV (and vice versa) using this method. Thanks very much!

This isn't cloning a Firestick! Cloning is copying apps and all system settings so that the new Firestick when plugged in works the same as the original.

I've been trying to clone a Fire Stick and i followed your instructions but for some reason when i try to copy and paste the selected APKs onto the other fire Stick it won't allow me to. Good Morning... I process eveything that you tell me to do , but when I want to put in my New/ Old firestick on the computer, after I put in my FTP server numbers, this comes up on to my computer FTP Folder Error Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you type the file name correcty and that you have permission to access the folder. Details: A connection with the server could not be established. WHAT DO I DO AT THIS POINT??

First half worked perfectly well but when it comes to copying the files to second firestick I don't have permissions. Using an filezila I see it says 530 stor anonymous user cannot write to any directory. Also 200 TYPE set to Binary and 227 PASV Passive Mode with the ip address plus an extra two sets of 3 digit numbers. Any ideas please?

Hi, I have followed you instructions and now have a folder on my Macbook Pro containing the APK's I want to clone, when I swap firestick I open the new ftp:// on my mac and I get a window with java script detailing the folders ( same type window allowed me to copy APK's from original stick), open the Downloader one and have tried to copy and paste, drag and drop but nothing will copy over. This is not cloning a firestick. You are just copying apps and installing them from your PC to another firestick. You still have to manually configure any settings you may have in the apps. There is a much easier way to copy and install using ADB.

I have tried to complete the contents of this tutorial on my 2 new Firestick 4K Max but when I get to the last step on my PC when I open the ftp terminal it shows me the file folder om the firstick put when I drag the apk files over I get a message " An error occurred coping the file to the FTP server. Txs Doc. I just ordered the max. Started wondering how the hell I was going to move my stuff over. God only knows where I got them all from. So I searched on KZbin and here you are with a solution. My laptop is pretty much old and done, so I also ordered a OTG cable so I'm wondering if I can copy everything from my old 4k to a flash drive connected to it and then just plug it into my max. The easiest way would be to do it like shown in the video: 1. Install MiXplore 2. Copy all the apps you want to keep and paste them in the downloader folder 3. Enable the server option in Mixplore 4. Connect to mixplore from your PC 5. Find the downloader folder and copy out all the apps
