I bought one of your countertops kits and used it to coat both sides of 2 sliding barn doors but when I flipped them to do other side it marked them up some Can I sand this and can I then coat with regular polyurethane? Any advice is appreciated, thanks
@TonyaDLewis2 жыл бұрын
BEAUTIFUL! So, you don't need to seal the plywood before the primer. I did a plywood surface years ago and I only primed it and it really absorbed my work/slowed down my working time tremendously, I couldn't do my design effectively because the plywood was absorbing the epoxy, I was using multiple colors.. I'm using a thicker, quick drying boning primer now for all surfaces but when it comes to plywood I still feel like i should seal the entire surface first? But then, I imagine if you are only using 1 highlight and then a topcoat, it wouldn't really effect your design as much...
@Montanafinest4062 жыл бұрын
I got a question.when your done sanding after letting it all dry and you got that white residue what do you use to wipe it off with before you lay a clear coat down
@LeggariProducts2 жыл бұрын
Denatured alcohol! It works great as an all-around cleaner, especially for the tools used to mix the resin.

If you don't mind me asking, you're looking at over $2100 in product alone, not including material and labor, around how much could you charge for a job like this one w/ countertop coverage of approximately 160sf ??? Thanks.

Is bondo just a normal wood filler or is it a brand by itself? Am only aware of wood filler here, not sure if u have to mix it with anything.
@LeggariProducts2 жыл бұрын
Bondo is a brand. It is an all purpose putty that cures to be extremely hard and durable. You can get it at most stores or online.

How long do I have to wait to sand imperfections to add matte coat?
@LeggariProducts2 жыл бұрын
You will want to wait until the next day ( approximately 24 hours) once the epoxy is completely set. Thank you for watching!

What is the spray feature?
@LeggariProducts Жыл бұрын
The first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol; this creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we spray denatured alcohol to pop micro bubbles. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy.

Can you tell me why my weather strip always gets stuck ? Am I using wrong kind ..It sticks to countertop and breaks apart while I'm pulling it off .It's to the point to where I had to scrap it off..
@BUDSBEAU2 жыл бұрын
this is the first time i have seen them use weather stripping. i may have missed it some other videos. i am not a fan of this design. its doesnt wow me. and i dont understand why they seem to choose a matte finish on top of that gorgeous shine. maybe they could use a gloss finish and spray it on instead of rolling it on.
@CHUMUJUJU2 жыл бұрын
you might be pulling it off a bit late , you want to pull it while the epoxy hasnt set up yet. if thats not the case then maybe its a cheap brand or possibly expired?

I don’t care how many of these videos you make, when you send these products to people, they should COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS. These products are too expensive and the process too complicated for you not to send instructions. You have to watch like 20 videos and take notes just to try to figure it out. Please do better.
@jordanprowten63222 жыл бұрын
that's why you pay someone who's been professionally trained , they dont leave tools and instruction's inside elavators for people because there is a service man who's put time and effort into learning how to do it. same thing here.. also every job or application is very different for prep work and applying the epoxy system.
