I'm super excited about the potential of using PolyKote on my existing laminate countertops, however, I need to do a pour-in-place and have a 4", rounded edge backsplash that can't be removed. Is there a way to use PolyKote on a vertical surface, even though it's so much more fluid than epoxy? TIA

It’s beautiful but don’t you get lint pieces from the roller?

Thank you. Actually no lint as long as you de-shed the roller with blue painters tape first and prime the roller in some of your material first.

What are you wearing on your arms to keep the epoxy off them.

Since Polykote is a bit more costly than Resin, what do you charge per square foot to do a counter?

We don't charge per sq ft really. It's per project. Time and materials. And it's really less costly for us because I'm using far less material to pour. Typically I'd use 8oz/sq ft on exotic pours. Now I only need 4. 5 on the high side. That's a savings overall to our customers. I also can charge less labor because I can pour it faster, no taping edges, no waiting to pull tape and can wipe drips relatively quickly and not wait around.

Can this product be put over old epoxy countertop? Also, do they sell 1 gallon or is the 2 gallon kit the only size? Their website is confusing.

Yes you can pour over an old epoxy countertop. Just sand well first. I'd also recommend primer on top before pouring. If there's topcoat on top you'll want to sand it off and then put Kilz Adhesion Bonding Primer before your regular primer. Only 2 gallon kits at this time.

Thanks for watching. We like to show multiple types of designs as some customers like a bit busier and some like a softer pattern. We have many options in our showroom. Luckily everything is custom so the gold is optional.
