I'd love a "dev blog" style short video on why that blank sprite makes a difference! It seems like a great way to get a better understanding of the inner workings of Scratch.
@griffpatch4 ай бұрын
It's actually quite straightforward, when there are many scripts in the scripting area and scratch is highlighting which scripts are running it's this glowing yellow outline that causes the lag to occur in the scratch player this is why it doesn't occur when you're playing the project from the main playing screen without the scripts visible but only when you're looking inside and then it's good to have a blank sprite with no scripts on it or very few that run so that there's very little highlighting going on and off while they came into playing

Hi griffpatch! I love your vids, But can we please have a "how to code balloons in your platformer"? Balloons attach to the player, One balloon lifts you slowly, and two balloons lift you rapidly up the level! these can be used to traverse lava pools and spike pits! But be careful! they pop very soon. They can either regenerate or be only one time use like enemies

Hi griffpatch! Could you show how to make the scenes seamlessly blend together without edges? So like the camera could follow the player? I know it would use clones, but I'm not sure the best way to do it. Also with camera borders on level edges.
