Drink when you are thirsty lol. On a serious note, I find eating sweet and salty foods throughout the day helps keep me from feeling flushed and tired

Good tip on how to take the coils off, one at a time. Most people don’t do that and the result is usually a big pile of spaghetti.

I'm disappointed an AMGA guide would show this. The rope is not secure - if a partner falls, the rope could undo the overhand knot and tighten her coils.

You could lock it off with a biner but I think that part is generally understood. Like in a lot of climbing situations, you don't always have to go overboard if the terrain is easy to moderate. Time is sometimes more important, but you're right, the ideal method is to lock the bight off for utmost safety.
