Oh man! I’m so happy to learn I’m not the only one who always seems to get distracted bringing the eggs back IN MY POCKETS!! I have a basket for the eggs, but I tend to wind up by the chickens with no purpose other than to hang out, so I don’t always have the tools I end up wanting to use 😂

A couple of days ago I finally experienced broken pocket eggs. Serves me right for jamming all six into one pocket. Oh well, the dogs thanked me for a burnt rice and egg stir fry for supper 😂

So I store my eggs in one of those fruit hanging baskets, you know the 3 tier baskets. Saturday to Saturday. Week 1: all eggs in the bigger basket at the bottom, Week 2: move eggs from bottom basket to middle basket add new eggs to bottom basket use eggs from middle first, Week 3: new eggs in bottom , eggs in middle basket moved to top, using eggs from top first, then middle basket, Week 4: any eggs left in top basket get boiled, all eggs then move up and new eggs added to bottom basket.

I'm a first-time chicken owner and yesterday after I got them in the coop one of my hands laid an egg and soon as it dropped I grabbed it and it was really soft it blew my mind

I've always wanted to make neat poached eggs just in a pan of water but each time I tried, the white spread all over the pan so I stopped making them and stuck to fried. Since we got our own hens, I've never had a failed poachec egg. The shells crack without crumbling, the egg stays together in a neat little ball, the yolk is golden and they taste delicious.

My husband works at a fast food chain for a while and his coworkers was laughing at him because he smashed the eggs trying to Crack them because he was use to his chicken eggs 😅
