Hey Maliek, thanks for the great tutorials! got a question, is it possible to GRADUALLY adjust or correct exposure, contrast etc, on a clip so the exposure doesn't just abruptly change when the next clip comes in if it is basically the same scene, as you know sometimes you pan and the exposure changes, then you have to split and adjust in post, the problem is the correction is applied to the entire clip, is there a way to maybe change the opacity with key frames to fade in or out the changes?, couldn't find any tutorials on that. thank you!
@PDU_Tutorials6 жыл бұрын
When using PowerDirector to apply color correction click on the Keyframe button on the lower right section of the Fix/Enhance window and you can apply keyframes to gradually change the settings.
@FotovarietaNet6 жыл бұрын
Hello, Maliek could you record a tutorial that explains how to GRADUALLY adjust or correct exposure, contrast etc on a Portion of a clip ? I have the same problem as Robert Diaz. How to use "Keyframe" function to set the brightness keyframes on the single clip without splitting it. The brightness, contrast and other color adjustments should gradually be increased/decreased between 2 keyframes. Thank you in advance.
@jleavett3 жыл бұрын
Another good way to stop the need for this is to stop using automatic settings. If you manually set the shutter speed and keep it constant you won't have this issue and won't have to correct it as the camera won't adjust exposure etc all the time when you pan.

Thanks for responding. This example requires a program, that PowerDirector doesn't have that seems to recognize each of the individuals color "chips" on the chart, and makes the adjustments automatically within the program (not Power or Color Director). On the other hand Power / Color Director does have a set of adjustments for each of the colors on the color card, but no instructions that I can find that show how to use a color card with those adjustments that are available. Other Color / Power director tutorials, seem to just eyeball the desired changes (e.g. spring summer fall winter) tones. The idea I thought was to use the chip colors to get exact match between cameras. I'm using a Canon t6i and an iphone 6s, so you can imagine there's some shift between them. What would be helpful is in Color or Power director, a tutorial where someone hold a color card up to their chest, and then show how / if Power or Color director uses that part of the video (or photo of the card if that's what you need to do), where the chart is on the screen to then make the individual color adjustments. Sorry for what may sound complicated, but seems adobe has automated use of color cards, as has the linked video that you've provided. Doesn't seem that Cyberlink has that yet.

Why when I add a transition or a Title/text overly on my video clip does the brightness of the clip increase until the transition or Title/text overly is finished? Any way to stop this or do I need to manually increase the brightness of each of these areas to match the brightness prior to and after the transitions and Title overlays?

There are some people on the PD forum and in my Facebook users group facebook.com/groups/252535418553355/ who film underwater. It would be best to ask them for feedback.

I'm using PD 16 Ultra. Have 500 JPG's that I want to convert into a timelapse. I've corrected the white balance of the series of photos and in the timeline it looks ok. However..... if I produce the timelapse, all corrections are lost. How come?

I have no idea. Never experienced that. You should ask on the PD Forum or reach out to CyberLink for help. forum.cyberlink.com/forum/forums/list/ENU.page
