I set up my phone right in front of a window for natural lighting and can also see the reflection of the camera video on the window glass.

I don't use my camera for youtube anymore as it is too tedious to shoot and sit in front of the computer to edit. Now I only use my phone, the s24 ultra and I enjoy shooting and uploading more often.

Normally I actually do script my videos to keep it as streamlined as possible but this one I just mapped out basic notes and then just spoke straight into the camera with no teleprompter.

Great tutorial. One of the most helpful aspects was also showing how you positioned the phone relative to you and the table. That is left out of so many tutorials like this.

A video on how to shoot film for craft tutors would be awesome. I've been doing it now for 10yrs...the first were majorly shonky! Getting better but there seems to be absolutely nothing on that particular subject. I love your succinct delivery. Thanks for the super helpful structure/checklist and the tips. As for the screen mirroring on Mac- I am so grateful you showed turning your MacBook on its side. I spent hours trying to figure out how to display without doing that. My ipad will mirror the orientation correctly but my phone will only mirror to my computer in portrait mode. It helped to know I’m not the only one. If you find a fix - will you post? Thanks again for the great content.

Man! Im glad you mention about getting lenses. There are youtubers that recommend buying lenses!! Which is insane because iphone 13 and others have 3 LENSES THAT HAVE TONS OF OPTIONS AND SETTINGS!!
