I'll just add this as apparently many people don't know, that some androids (definitely samsung galaxy, not sure about the others) have the option to wirelessly mirror phone's screen onto any other screen with wifi (smart view), or you can use chromecast connected to any screen at all to do it.
@matt22blaster9 ай бұрын
13:38. If you're on Android you can mirror to almost any smart watch excluding apple and any other computer, tablet or smart tv, excluding Apple. If you don't want to deal with wireless you could simply use USB-C to HDMI and hook up to any monitor or TV. Any feature apple has android has had for 3-5 years, apple just doesn't introduce it until they've found a way to monetize it.
@JAMPROSOUNDАй бұрын
As much as I love Android devices, not all have usb to HDMI out. I just suggest people verify that function is an option before trying to shoot something serious. I've seen people not prepare and then have this assumption bite them come shoot time. Know your gear folks!

Hello! As I understand it, the video was shot on an iPhone 13 or something like that. Maybe I'm wrong, but in my opinion the face looks quite flat. Is it possible to somehow set the lighting to create volume? How can you do this during the day, when the sun illuminates the entire room, and in the evening, when you use artificial light?
@MrPaulXavier11 ай бұрын
I shot this video in HDR and then edited in premiere pro which doesn't play nice with the HDR footage. In hindsight it would have improved a ton by NOT shooting in HDR so silly me for leaving that feature on. Additional time spend on lighting would also help

Oddly enough, right next to the PoP mic on your amazon search was the maybesta wireless lavalier mic. At 29.99 that thing is amazing, theres a reason it has 4.4 stars across 2.5k reviews. And while that one is lightning, for the iphone, they do a USB C one, but also do a multi adapter version that works in all phones and on digital cameras. And for about $10 more, theres a version that has a built in recharge case Hands down the best mic on a budget. So I would argue that mic and decent lights over the Rode setup or the DJI (even though, of course, they are better sound) :)

I just installed it on my phone and computer and it works like a charm. It can be streamed with tablets too. The rhetorical stage of learning - being bf able to communicate what you know is spot on! In our faith, in anything….when you truly understand something, you should be able to explain it to some degree. And if you can’t, you’re ripe for being manipulated to something else. Behind every subject, there are facts and there is a why does this matter. So many focus on the why and skip over the why does this matter. And why does this matter is what I, as a homeschool mom, am constantly asking myself. What actually matters the most? Don’t skip out on those things and don’t stress over the things that just don’t matter in the grand scheme. Unfortunately, as you alluded, we’re wired to focus on the things that don’t always matter. That’s the education system we were raised in. Meanwhile the things that do matter are slipping through the cracks……this…our society has been “dumbed down.”

I spent a lot of money on my filming and audio kit, and although I did some great video with this kit, I tend to use my phone quite a bit and the video I get is perfectly adequate for youtube, so if anyone has any ideas about spending thousands on gear for KZbin, don’t, just use your phone

The one thing I struggle with the most is storage, do you have any tips for this? Thank you so much for such amazing content!

What are you struggling with when it comes to storage?
@-kellyalexandra9 ай бұрын
@@MrPaulXavier if I record at good enough resolution, my storage gets full so quickly leading me to not be able to film longer content. It kinda sucks having the tools but not really being able to fully access the benefits.

Get an external hard drive and transfer the footage off of your phone!

Thanks. Enjoyed watching two of your videos. What software would match the features of Nero Platinum for video editing on Apple/Mac? If I ever buy a new computer I would like to know what software I would be using to replace this.

You can also use a mirror behind the phone to see what you doing when shooting with your back camera 📷

At the end where you say editing is another video… one you’ve made or one we can hope to see in the future? Thanks!

What would you recommend for ones who do creations only? I do nails so its always white 😅 so my canera doesnt keep refocusing etc.

Just curious why you don't suggest using a small directional/shotgun mic attached to the phone; lots of good options in that space, and you can add a windscreen for outdoor use.
@MrPaulXavier Жыл бұрын
I personally don’t feel the shotgun improves quality enough compared to the built in mic on modern smartphones (most of the time)

I just wanted to say thank you for the informative video, but what I was most impressed with was the price of your program and your statement. "We want to make an affordable and informative program" that is awesome and much appreciated!

Do you use a teleprompter? Any tips on how you do the actual recording? Do you do it in one take? Or different layers?

I appreciated the great insights! Most were excellent. However, I didn't like the blurry edge of the subject against the background, that should have been sharper. The very first scene on the video, where you contast the footage of the $5K camera vs the iphone 14, shows exactly the difference am pointing out. The 5k camera had the sharp seperation between the subject and the background that I prefer, and that should be.

Great video Anthony. Also an Anthony 😜. I film and edit everything on my channel on my iPhone 14. One big thing I think you left out is to lock the focus. The iPhone will autofocus if you move around and will blur clips. That’s very frustrating. I edit and voiceover in splice app.
@MrPaulXavier10 ай бұрын
When I do talking head content like this I don't lock the focus because I want it to track me if I move.

Thank you so much! I have a question. How to upload your iPhone videos to KZbin, is coming out in QuickTime format and I can't upload.
