Instead of turning down the opacity you can actually turn any brush into a multiply brush by switching the blend mode to multiply in the brush setting under the rendering tab. Love the quick and cool video btw!

Thanks so much for this advice, it's not so much that I'm not confident, I love this for the fact that I am colorblind and finding all these highlights/lowlights/shading and all that makes coloring really difficult for me, especially since my colorblindness revolves more around the in-betweens. I love making art and it was always so difficult for me before this. I love this, thanks!

Hey! You can set your sketch layer to multiply, then add a layer underneath it to color on and the sketch lines should still show up☺️💕

I tried it but when I merge the two layers and try the "curves" it only changes the color of the shading, not the lineart
@brandireneeart2 ай бұрын
You can try moving the very end of the line (far left) up and it should change all of the lines, if that doesn't work you can also alpha lock the layer and just color it in! Hope that helps :)

How do you color over it without coloring over the sketch? When I paint it erases my characters face lol
@brandireneeart14 күн бұрын
Make sure the layer you’re coloring on is underneath your line art layer! Also make sure the line art layer is set to multiply, it’ll help keep your lines darker than any colors you put down so they still show up☺️
@Fückcoldraven21 күн бұрын
So shading first and no flat colors
@brandireneeart20 күн бұрын

@@brandireneeartWhat about if I do shading in grey to white so I shade grey and then over it with white is that possible or will it throw off the drawing.

@@brandireneeartWhat if I color things with gray and yellow
@brandireneeart19 күн бұрын
It should work but I think it also just depends on what style you’re going for! You can experiment with different shades of white/grey/yellow, the opacity of the shading layers, etc. There’s a ton of variations you can get with this method but any color should work!

this tutorial is so bad 😭 Doesn’t explain anything well, You skip so many explanations and don’t go in depth, it’s basically “Just do this and you’re done!” with no reasoning as to why and how
