i have a question. if i wanted to colour in something from google so i saved the google image and then put it on procreate. how would i color that in? cuz i always do another layer and put it under that one, but it doesnt work due to the google images white background.

Hi thank you for the video super helpful! Just wondering as i did an outline of something in thick black pen but when i airbrush over to blend it goes over the black outline and changes the colour of it. What can i do and not touch the outline? Thank you
@RockettDesign8 ай бұрын
Hi! If you open your layers panel and create a new layer and make sure the new layer is below the layer with your outlines, then you can colour and blend without touching your outlines, happy drawing!

New sub here! Thanks for informing! Im looking into purchasing this app. i love to draw on paper, but i have health issues that makes it very difficult to draw. Especially because i am heavy handed haha. Thank you for all the tips and tricks. Do you have any videos on designing websites? Ive had mine for about 6 months and now temporarily closed to removate the site 👀 will be binge watching ur vids! Thanks
@RockettDesign2 жыл бұрын
Welcome, and thank you! Procreate is fantastic and I think it would be really great for your needs. I don't currently have any videos on building websites, but I do have experience in that are so I'll pop it on my list of videos to make and get it on the channel some point soon! thanks for watching and supporting 🙂

any one know why my drag and drop colour isnt working ? ive made some bold lines with no gaps and it doesnt want to work ? thanks great video!
@RockettDesign Жыл бұрын
Hey 👋🏻 sorry to hear that’s happening! Not sure exactly why it is but give this a go, when you go to color drop and you drag the color onto your artwork, pause for a second as soon as your color gets to the part of the artwork you want to fill, then instead of releasing your Apple pencil, try sliding it from left to right horizontally and that will change the amount of fill. Fingers crossed this works 🤞🏻 good luck!

I ended up dripping colour on the reference layer itself instead of new layer. And later since i came out of the project, i coukdnt undo it. My query, do we have something similar to magic tool in photoshop to select all the Same colour areas and Delete it to save my intricate Line work? Kindly guide. Thank yiu
@RockettDesign Жыл бұрын
Hi, sorry to hear that happened, the only way I can think of to do what you want to do is the way the I do it when the same thing happens to me. You will need to have the reference layer selected and then on the top left of the screen tap on the little S shaped tool ‘selection tool’. When this is selected you will see a bar appear at the bottom of your screen, you will then select ‘automatic’ and start tapping on the colour areas you accidentally dropped down earlier (they should turn blue once selected) after this select a really big eraser and start erasing the selections which should leave you with your outlines. Good luck. I might try make a video on this to help others who have the same issue.
@aasmafilmsartacademy Жыл бұрын
@@RockettDesign Yes, I had briefly heard about Automatic selection tool in some videos, so tried using it in the same way as you have mentioned. Making every little design in different layers helped me cause any black line in 'this' reference layer was getting erased too. Thank you for your response. A video on this topic would definitely be useful. I am now making a habit to "Lock" the layer I turn into reference, then make another layer and colour. This way even if reference layer gets selected accidently, it won't allow coloring.
