I do get the concept. Getting it makes me feel like my pain must be his favourite toy because even treats are ignored. I'm not giving up and I'm feeling like it's super personal.

Same 😂 trainers always say “just substitute a toy he likes!” But he likes no toys better than human flesh …

I've had the same issue with my dogs. One thing I've found is that creating variation in the toys really helps. He won't always want a rope or a ball and something stuffed. Now our puppy even has pinecone and sticks that he likes. You've just got to experiment, there is almost always something they will take over human flesh.

My puppy is now 11 weeks old and I've offered him many toys to chew on instead. It really worked very well he's not biting our hands or stuff as much anymore! Thank you so much 😁👍

I'm sure the "results" are the puppies outgrowing the stage. Nice to see a trainer that passively insults his followers 😂

Important to do before they bite you, tried this but she seems to have learned that biting gets her a toy so now comes and bites me when she wants to play..

Yet reacting negatively to other dog trainers fixes YOUR issues, doesn't it??!! Funny you can't practice what you preach!! What a true "professional" you are...😂😂

I'm a human and Zak assumes I'm smarter than my dogs. I think that's a huge assumption (at least for me) and I'm not at all certain I'm smarter than my dogs!! They have me pretty well trained.

How would you stop them from biting other dogs (playfully, but as she gets older it will likely start to hurt)?
@hautomnal96793 ай бұрын
Have them meet adult dogs with healthy boundaries is the best way. Well balanced adult dog are gentle when dealing with a puppy and will adapt as the puppy grow bigger and rougher. If the dogs they meet aren't really good at saying "no" you can do a little "time-out" by gently recalling your puppy and putting them on a leash for 30s /2 min. It helps them calm down and learn that being rough get's them away from fun. Usually doing this 2-3 times will help but keep in mind that a young puppy can easily get overstimulated so be patient.

You'd be surprised at how effective it is in deterring puppies from biting you😂
