@@MyAmazonGuy In my case product ID and category ID are both matching, but the reviews are still split. I did get an error when uploading the file, where they are saying that my variation theme needs to be the same, which it is. The same error said that they the parentage won't be created because of this, but it did get created, it's just that reviews are split.

Thank you so much for your valuable content, really helpful! I updated all the product-type and category-type so there is no mismatch. However, I keep getting the answer from the support team (even after the escalation) that " if we detect unusual review behavior for a product, we may place limits on reviews or the sharing of reviews for related products. We place limits on reviews to preserve trust in customer reviews.". I must say that I haven't participated in anything related to reviews manipulation and 100% of them are honest reviews so I'm not sure where does it coming from or what to do next. Your advice will be HIGHLY APPRECIATED. Thanks!

I have a color based variation listing. I want to add a different color version of my product to the listing. amazon says the color variation theme is removed for that category. do you think deleting parent asin and creating a different parent asin with a different variation theme works ? what do you suggest ? thanks

A golden tip to all sellers. Once you create parent and child variation, in addition to similar product category, it is important to have same GL value for all ASINs. This value cannot be changed from the sellers side. You will have to open a case to ask the GL value for each ASIN. If they are different request seller support to update GL value of all the ASINs to the same GL value i.e the one most closely related to your products. If they update the GL value, wait for few hours. After this, hopefully, the reviews would be merged across all AINs.

Thank you, this worked! And better than what I even thought.... I knew that I was missing a few reviews from 1 specific child, but after submitting this to seller support I have reason to believe it was 2 children. It took me from 2,700 reviews to over 3,100. I thought I was missing only maybe 50-100 😆 from manage inventory in sales rank column, 2 children were showing a different sales rank compared to the rest of the children. After submitting the request to ensure all my reviews pool together now all children show the same sales rank. So I'm assuming not only were both of these children not contributing to the pool of reviews, but they also were not contributing to the overall sales rank too. Definitely something to keep an eye on.

We've reviewed your suggestion and are unable to accept the suggested category browse node change to ASIN: B0............ This product is assigned to the current category based on the detail page and how Amazon customers find products through search and browse. The categorization of ASIN - B0......... has been reviewed by our category teams and the current category is appropriate for this product. Need to change parent category to be able to add asins to parent and merge reviews - any suggestions except filing a ticket?

Great info! I created a new parent listing as I wanted to use my current listing as a new variation and add more variations while keeping my reviews. However, I lost my reviews when I created the variations through a bulk file upload. I still see the views on my old ASIN but not the new child ASIN. Any advice on how to get those reviews back to my new Child ASIN? Thanks!!

I have a product in the beauty category. All important attributes and category ID's are matching, but reviews won't merge. When seller support gets involved, they just separate the listings again.

Hi Steve! Great video. Do you know if reviews can be transferred from one ASIN to another? We are "relaunching" a specific ASIN by creating a brand NEW ASIN and re-linking it to the parent...but the reviews from the original child ASIN aren't showing up on the parent (we closed the original child listing). Any thoughts?

Reviews stick with the ASIN. Only way around that is child ASINs add up to the reviews for all the SKUs under the parent.

Hello! Thanks for another great video! Question: I currently have a single item listing with no parentage / variations. I want to add a variation for this product. (Different color cap) My listing is semi mature (67 ratings) The new variation listing has not been created yet and of course has no reviews What is the best method for setting this up? I do not want to lose any reviews or rankings on my current listing. I know I can “copy listing” and add variations to create the parentage but will this affect my current listing or progress at all? I am fuzzy at best on how this will affect me and I am concerned to do anything before I fully understand what the outcome will be. Any help from the community and MAG would be greatly appreciated!

Can I combine the reviews from an ASIN from one market place with another ASIN in a different marketplace. They share same brand name and are exact same product. Been trying to find info for the above with no luck so far.

No, Amazon does not allow combining reviews from one ASIN in a marketplace with another ASIN in a different marketplace. Each ASIN must have its own set of reviews that are specific to that product and marketplace.

I would very appreciate it if you could help me with answering my question; I'm from the middle east and selling in Amazon us I have a shoe product with 6 different sizes, for the first two sizes I can add them to my separate account and I can buy them, but the others I can't in which amazon say "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location." How come the first two are fine shipping them to the middle east and the others are not?
