Thank you Brian, I was thinking on getting the Reserve, then downgrade to Freedom Flex to then get the preffered since the Venture X makes the Reserve's Annual fee not justifiable. But, you mentioned about the Saphire and that's a better option to get all bonus even the Flex one

Ah, guess I messed up. My first two cards were the Freedom Unlimited and then the Sapphire Preferred. I was on just those two cards for a couple years (shutdown years, travel didn't seem too attractive anyway) and just got the AMEX Platinum. Guess I went out of order, but I can always go back and do the Gold Card SUB once I've finished the Platinum.

They are great cards to get the welcome bonus on. I find that I still use them when my AMEX business card's dont get accepted. Ink cards still have some solid categories that amex doesn't have

Just in the last 2 1/2 months I’ve applied for 5 credit cards and got accepted for 3 I feel like depending on what company you get cards from depends on the flexibility you have

I heard you shouldn't apply for more than three cards in three months. You should apply in three month intervals. After three months apply for two more. Wait another three months and apply again for two more. And the credit cards that you where declined for, you can dispute that hard inquiry and have it removed since you where denied.
