Happy 2022 Jason. I love following your videos. For a keyboard/piano enthusiast like me, who has learned both eastern and western notations upto the intermediary level, and eager to work out something creative at the most basic of levels, I have found your videos extremely interesting. In this video between 15:40 lasting for about a minute, I felt the rhythm you played is closer to the 7 8 beat....The mishra chaap of carnatic...Is it how you planned it? Thank you

Fantastic lesson buddy, where I'm really struggling is eith left hand playing root more than on the first hit ie beat one of each round, the moment I try to play 2/3/4 it messes up the right hand! It actually doesn't sound bad with only playing the left once each round so to speak 'each d,e,g,sharp ie so on the d, but it's very annoying!

Happy new year from your fan....Positive gamer... Great point shared around 2:31... Jason you are a very natural and genuine musician... The commercial music scene is polluted by the stronghold of a particular mafiya, which exists in USA, BRITAIN, BOLLYWOOD AND even in nearby country... you must be well aware of that and the extent of that... very slight chance that this mafiya thing is not impactful... But the main thing I am concerned about is ... whether a genuine musician can pursue reasonable career in music while staying away ftom that mafiya or not ?
@nathanielschool3 жыл бұрын
Thanks a ton! Yes you can! But you need to strike the balance! There are also numerous careers in the Music Business - Recording, Editing, Mixing and Production so there's always work which you can find if you have the skills for it. However, some jobs might not interest you always. That's the nature of all fields!

This video comes out at the right time, yesterday I was writing a melody in D, what are the odds? My melody was bland, it needs work, and rhythm! What is the time signature at the end?

Which normally comes first when composing - rhythm, melody or chords?
@wayfarer11013 жыл бұрын
Either one of the the three or sometimes even the meter of the lyrics gives you the start. I've written about 30 songs and the way a song started was oftentimes inspired by lyrics, followed by chords or a riff. Whatever grabs you. 🙂

Well said. Yes! We don't really start with anything as such. We practice our craft as best as possible so when the creative moment comes, we just let things flow!
