Welcome back to another live class lecture in which I introduce the principles of Hensche Color Studies and show you how to apply them to your own paintings during a live class. This is the final class lecture from my 8 week Hensche Color Study Class.
Hensche Color Studies were developed by Henry Hensche, an American painter who studied under Charles W. Hawthorne. These studies involve using a limited subject matter, such as painted blocks, to explore the harmonization of color relationships and the concept of half-tone in color.
In this video, discover the art of creating a visual narrative by strategically arranging color blocks to form a compelling composition. Witness the magic unfold as I replace these blocks with real-life objects, each carefully selected to match the respective colors.
Through this step-by-step demonstration, you will gain valuable insights into the artistic process of composing a painting idea. Learn how to harness the emotional impact of color and transform it into a captivating visual story.
I will continue to share the lectures from these in person classes, and I look forward to making more content to teach you the principles and elements of art making.
Share with me what you want to learn!
