Love it! I have the old rolling ball type composter and it still works great. I’m also using it to try to amend my heavy clay soil here in the OC! 🥰🌱 I also put coffee grounds in mine :)

So happy to talk to fellow composters!! I wish I had coffee grounds in mine. I drink Nespresso, so I am only left with the pods. Lol. I know Mc Donald's gives away their grounds. I just need to get there, without leaving with a big Mac. Lol.

Hi Lorinda! I'm also in Orange County and I have some small tomatoes I started a few weeks ago that are doing well but I'm wondering when you think it's okay to put them out in full sun? I put them out a few days ago and one of them had a burnt leaf just from being out a few hours. I have them outside in mostly shade with only morning and afternoon sun right now. Thanks!

We had some really hot days. That was too much for them. I would wait until after today. The weather is supposed to cool down a bit. If the weather will be above 90 degrees cover them with an umbrella or a sheet or anything to cast some shade on them. Tomatoes love the sun, but it has to be introduced slowly like a few hours a day for about a week. That process is called "hardening off" it's a pain in the butt, I know! Thats why it's best to direct sow tomato seeds directly in ground. What kind of tomatoes?

@@steadyasshegrows-lorindape8719 Okay that's what I am going to go for trying to harden them off. I think it must have just been too hot the day I had them out. I started a Cherokee purple and two sungold cherry from seed. I also have an eggplant, some dill, and basil also from seed. I'm just getting started but I'm excited! Just trying not to kill anything lol. Thanks for the advice.
