This is great to know. Pill bugs ate all my seedlings this year. I asked my garden group on FB what to do and they said, “Oh no, pill bugs only eat dead plant material.” Well I was watching them chomp on my bean seedlings. I scooped out as many as I could with a spoon, or else squished them. It seems they were sooooooo bad this year. If they are back next year I’ll use your tip!

How many hours of sunlight do you think that egg plant receives? Just got a place, I think I only receive about 4 hours in my yard. Thanks! Great video

The more sun the better. 4 hours might be ok, but it may produce slower.

Hi Lorinda, I just stumbled upon your channel. I am new to gardening so I’m confused about all the info I read online so I want to ask from someone who is exactly from zone 10B… what month do you actually sow seeds of warm season plants like peppers, squash and cucumbers? February or March? I have setup a makeshift seedlings shelf on our patio (it is not fully covered)
@steadyasshegrows-lorindape87199 ай бұрын
Well, those are still summer crops and they like warmer weather. So even though they wouldn't die planting early, you run the risk of them getting stunted by the cold nights. I wouldn't plant out pepper plants until April/may. Seeds start March. Cucumbers and Squash, I would plant out end of March to April, then another round every 2 months or so. Where r u located?

Hello Lorinda, I just came across your channel I am in Miami and looking for a ground cover that would be a substitute for grass in other words no mow so cant grow to high been looking at the dwarf mondo grass. but not sold on it some one recommended red creeping thyme but some say good to zones 8 /9 others 10 what would you suggest ? Thanks!
@steadyasshegrows-lorindape87192 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm looking for the same. I'm actually considering a clover lawn for my front yard. It requires very little water, keeps the lawn looking green. You can mow it when it gets too tall or leave it and just edge it. I'm going to try it. I just need to find a place that sells the seed. I'm thinking Johnnie's Seeds. I'll let you know.
