Great content yet again and a car with an engine that leaks like a sieve and burns oil like a blast furnace on full but an engine that has come out of Wolsburg that just goes on and on and on

Great content! I think everyone knows about the compression test, but a cylinder leakdown test is not that common- Thanks for demonstrating and explaining what that entails

Open the throttle man for the compression test. I also prefer both gauges on a leak down to be pressure so you can dial 100 psi and visually see 100psi on the second gauge to confirm your test gear is serviceable before plugging into car. That way if you read 93 psi on the test it’s a 7% leak. Aviation engines even have specific orifice size with even cut angles on both sides of the orifice and use it for trend monitoring.

Great video and content. That could have been my 1500, H case, in the video. Same symptoms. Runs good too. Just had it out to replace the clutch. Only .006 end play.

You are supposed to have the throttle plate wide open for a compression test. Maybe I missed it.

You are correct.
