Thank you for a good vid man, please help me tho... the mail I get only shows my internal IP, I've also tried setting up the software manually but can seem to get the device connected to the SIP account..

Hey, thanks for the informative video. I tried your steps but, my app is not showing the extension status as green which means available. In the grandstream IPPBX server page->extensions, status it is showing unavailable and in the app it shows 'Registered Failed to SIP' in the notification bar. Kindly help me with the trouble-shooting as there are not many resources for this. Thanks! P.S.: Also, as I live in India we don't have VoIP services, so do we need VoIP service for this? I don't think so but that's the only thing different.

Sorry for the delay. You are correct, you do NOT need VoIP for this to work, but it does use SIP to connect the base to the phone system. The first thing I'd verify is that the firmware is up to date. That removes a lot of issues right away. From there I can't do a lot without seeing what you are seeing.

Interesting softphone. Thanks for the instruction. Anyone know how to keep the desk phone and softphone activated at the same time? I made sure I had concurrent registrations set to 2 but yet only the softphone works and disables the GXP2130 or if I reboot the 2130 it disables the softphone. Would be more beneficial if both would stay registered and ring at both places.

Tienes que configurar el servidor de correo de la pbx. O sea, configurar un correo a la pbx para que pueda enviar el correo que esperas. Esto es en: Ajustes del Sistema -> Configuraciones de correo/email

It would be a port forward for call setup and another for the RTP ports. I'll put that video on my list.

defaults are as follows but can(and should) be changed: forward 5060 UDP to UCM for call set up and registrations, forward 10000-20000 UDP to UCM for audio streams, and SIP ALG should be off.

Thank you yes i knew this but some isps doesn't allow to open certain ports on their supplied ipadds.Though ive done the above not able to call extensions out of office.
