Can anyone help me, I'm struggling to find a way to play playstation 3 and 2 with headphones, about a month ago I bought a cheap pair of astro a40s off ebay as that was the headset everyone wanted back in the day, anyways come to find out it doesn't come with everything to get it functioning for the ps3, it works great for my ps4. So as an alternative option I've plugged the a40s in the back of the tv using the microphone jack, I get sound but dialogue is very phant, I think it's got something to do with DAC (DIGITAL TO ANOLOG CONVERTER) or safety setting on my tv for headphones. I was thinking of getting a Bluetooth transmitter and plugging into my tv so I can use Bluetooth headphones for all of my consoles, but I video I watched basically said if your (DAC) is shit on Ur tv then the sound quality won't change for the new Bluetooth headphones. Now I'm thinking of just getting a Bluetooth headphones and using them thru the ps3, but I find this comment that says most wireless headphones can't connect since the ps3 won't support new Bluetooth technologies. If someone could reply to me today that would b much appreciated as I've pretty much wasted all of my Saturday researching why I'm getting quiet dialogue. Please and thank you

yeah, when you connect headphones to the PS3 it's only the mic. Only audio input, not output. So you won't hear any game/movie sounds.
