Sure, it is easy. Just need to set a receiver of all messages received on the whatsapp group, and forward the ones you wish to telegram. Telegram has a well documented API for bots doing this kind of thing.

I guess you are not selecting telegram as the origin... go to min 3:45 on this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ3FmY1joNGhqbs and see how you can select an origin. Choose Telegram instead, and the message should be received with the right format.
