You should probably disconnect the remote so someone can follow you step by step. Also, you forgot to put the remote into pairing mode, if someone follows the instructions you’ve given thair remote would not connect

Hey! I am at the last hour trying to figure this out for one of the members of my MC that we lost to COVID in the Bronx a year ago on Monday. I told my husband I cannot go on a ride with his Group tomorrow unless I get this figured out for the memorial for our Kim on Sunday -TONIGHT. Using a remote will not drain the battery. The remote acts off its own battery.

Hi there! I'd like to ask about the compatability of the remote with the hero 7 black cam. I read on various sites that this specific remote is only for models 3 up to 5, or others mention all models excluding 7, a lot of contradictory info for some reason. Can I be sure that if i order it, it will be compatible with my 7 hero black camera, regadless of the quoted compatability info? Is there a product reference number of the remote that you could share? Thank you in advance!

This is the remote im usuing in this video . There is NO REMOTE FOR THE HERO 7 SPECIFICALLY. but this one will connect to the hero 7 but it will come with issues somtimes disconnecting and or not connecting somtimes. This is your only option for hero 7 black as far as a remote. @@nickpapas6496 unfortunately yes it may happen during recording. It has only happened to me twice since making this video.

@@moto_ak47 So you mean that during a recording session, the recording just can stop by itself, and the recorded material up to that point just vanishes??

@@nickpapas6496 No the remote will just disconnect. your recording will still be recording and saved but the remote will just disconnect and you will have to manually stop the recording by pressing the button on the actual camera instead of the remote.

I ended up doing a Factory Reset..... Everything works now. Bad thing is if you do a Factory reset you need to reset all your settings.
