You plugged the red jack (Right output) to input 1 and the black jack (Left output) to input 2 of the Focusrite audio interface. Should it be Left to input 1 and Right to input 2 instead?

Hi, great video, thx. I have Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3gen (only one channel for instrument), and it works with Ableton, but when I try to record Volca Keys with Ampify Studio (got this program with Focusrite) the record only plays in my right headphone...

Hi! Thank you! I was wondering if you know how to connect the volca to a midi Keyboard and then record it in a daw
@markmanter650811 ай бұрын
Midi in of your Volca to midi out of your midi keyboard. Connect the audio output of your Volca to your interface. Connect your midi controller to your computer via either usb midi or 5 pin midi to your interface. Then you’ll probably need to look up how to connect figure your specific midi controller into logic. If your midi keyboard doesn’t have 5 pin midi there are still ways to control hardware synths via usb midi keyboards, it’s just a different process that I’m unsure of tbh lol

What about midi if I want to change the tempo from ableton live? Will that sync to the volcas?
@kakuro19754 жыл бұрын
You need to sync that via Midi I think. I use a Arturia Beatstep Pro with Midi and then 3 Volcas syncs well

@@kakuro1975 Nice. Do you have a video of your setup? I'd like to see how you got it all working together. Thanks!
@kakuro19754 жыл бұрын
@@timetravelvictim Oh, I also got CRAZY on the knobs programming. The knobs is not contextual fully so you program them and can use them ONLY in control mode. You can change the Control mode channel and that is called the User Channel. So then you can get the knobs to send midi commands to the volcas. I thought that the knobs would be contextual ie that the knobs when pressing Sequencer 1 could be programmed differently from the knobs when using Sequencer 2 or Drum. But this is not the case. So the knobs becomes sort of pointless or maybe it is because I am not yet skilled enough with the volcas to know which commands would make sense to use.

Hey just couple of questions how can you manage exactly same volume for both Chanels (Left+Right) you turn them up completely or you just a guess that it is same? how you will connect multiple Volcas if you will use this options of TRS mono ? and WHY MONO and not Stereo if you use Output which is Stereo ? sorry for tons of questions i just bough 2 Volcas (FM/BASS) and I would love to use them both together and sync them via Midi cable and Ableton and control them via Push2 but with these from stereo to mono and one cable to left and right mono its little confusing. Thank you :)

Exactly, not sure about this either... How'd you figure out if I may ask?
@bimalbellomi1482 Жыл бұрын
Input 1 -> left channel of Volca 1 Input 2 -> left channel of Volca 2 It's used mono because Volca signal is mono, you can change that via post production with panning stuff
@bimalbellomi1482 Жыл бұрын
Use left channel because stereo signal is delivered only via left channel

When i'm recordig my volca drum percussion i;m always having trouble getting a clear signal. The output is so soft, but when i add up the volume by adding utility or something, there is always this white noise in the background.. Interface = roland rubix
@Tunelighting4 жыл бұрын
that's really odd, I'm not sure what could be the problem off the top of my head....the only real way to know the problem is to try a different cable (perhaps try a regular guitar lead with a simple 3.5mm adapter as that will be cheap to test). I don't know the roland rubix well unfortunately so can't be sure if it is a setting on there. As with all these things it often comes down to a painstaking battle of trial and error, unfortunately!
@otraperspectiva4 жыл бұрын
I've encountered the same problem. I found that by using a mixer in between my Volca Drum and my audio interface I can eliminate this. This is very important for the Drum because of all the details that can change with sound. Good luck ! I use a yamaha mg06X mixer. By the way, i'm not sure why, but the combo jacks don't work that well, I'm happy at the line outputs that only have a level knob, so you don't deal with eq anjd gain in the mixer.
