To zoom on the map, they did it the second “way” that is also working on iPhone screen with the google maps, apple maps and so on: 1. Double tap on the screen but on the second tap keep holding your finger on the screen. 2. While holding, move your finger on the screen up to zoom in, and drag it down to zoom out. It’s called one handed operation when you hold your phone in one hand and still want to navigate.

I would also like to know this ? I am in UK so have to reach all the way over to left side to tap menu. Needs to have option to change to right hand side!
