Just bought this and your video was the only thing that helped me! Thank you! And for those of us having a hard time connecting, I unplugged the printer and brought it in the same room as the router. That seemed to do the trick. Moved it back downstairs and did a print test page off my phone, and it works far away from router. It seemed it had to be close, just for the initial connection. I don't know what's wrong with this thing, but I've tried for about 2 hours now to get this thing to work and it refuses. Desktop connection or phone, it doesn't do anything. I have no idea what is happening and why this refuses to pair, but I'm getting a refund.

Do you need internet just to make a copy

No. You can make a copy just by pressing the "color copy" or "b/w copy" button. Internet or computer is not needed to do that. Have a great day!

My Bluetooth does not recognize canon_ij at all. I need direct from phone connection. I have no WiFi. I travel & was led to believe this would print directly from phone cellular Bluetooth. It seems to only work for those with a standard WiFi setup.

I plugged in and then powered on. Then I get a P2 error and am unable to bypass this. Looked on canon website at error and was given 5100 support code, which then doesn’t have a fix.

So I was waiting for a PC hook up. Didn't happen. I am sure you know this link sends somewhere else to sell products. It was faster to just buy the cable.

I'm sorry. It works for most. Your printer may need to be reset or deleted from your computer if you previously had a similar model.

Mine right out of the box says printer is currently in use. Canon has become as bad as HP for printers. tired of this crap
