Hdmi 1.4 itself and onwards supports audio return channel.

Yes in tv hdmi arc 1.4 and above support audio resturn channel not in laptop or pc

My computer motherboard ( MSI x470 gaming pro) already has 7.1 surround channel support but I'm not sure whether I'll get sound system which supports those ports. My mothboad also has optical port. Should I directly connect optical cable to soundbar from motherboard for Dolby Atmos because I have connected my monitor from my graphics card hdmi port

from optical you will get only 5.1 dolby digital, for atmos hdmi is needed.

@@B_harath.k assembled pc me hdmi port hona chahiye nahi to buy a graphics card with HDmi, windows 10 and 11 install karna padega uske baad same hi process hai

@@B_harath.k if soundbar has only HDmi arc or earc dolby atmos not possible directly through pc, you can get 5.1 channel soundbar using hdmi to optical converter.

@@nipuperez audio return channel jaise tv me hota hai earc ya arc vo nahi hai hai. only video device. Jaise firestick, chromecast, mi box etc.

@@vishalsolanki4405 pendrive kaha lagani hai, only pc, tv ya fir mi box me Laga sakte hain. 5.1 channel milega lagbhag sabhi app me, pc me window media player and movie and tv app use karna hai, android tv me vlc, kodi se play kar sakte hain.
