root is the username so if your on something like cpanel online you need use the username you assigned to the database

Someone else had the same problem, try downloading the files from description and then running everything like that, it worked for them.

You don't need to keep the DB same, if the message is being shown in the loginpage UI then I guess you are not entering the DB values correctly
