How To Connect MioXM and PlayAudio12 Over Long Distances with Ethernet

Can a PlayAudio12 connect directly to a midi controller on stage using rtp-midi? Or must the midi controller on stage first be connected to a MioXM and then use rtp-midi to connect the MioXM with the PlayAudio12?

Is there any special setup that needs to happen within apples midi network settings for this to all talk to each other?

Do you know if RTP can be used with other brands? I’ve seen some cheaper 1-2 I/O options on google but not sure if it’s only compatible with iconnectivity RTP devices

I’ve seen a few different RTP midi options from the brand DOREMIDI

Unless a brand is using a proprietary MIDI over Ethernet it would work

@@BrandonWells have you had any luck connecting the doremidi to a playaudio12? Trying to do it now but it doesn't seem to make the connection even using the Audio Midi Setup
