In this video, I have designed LED lights with multiple LEDs connected in a series-parallel combination on a breadboard. And I have also shown how to select the led resistor for a led circuit with a simple led resistor calculation formula.

After watching the complete led tutorial video you can easily design any LED array circuit by wiring multiple leds together
. And also calculate the required led resistance value for the led circuit. During the video, I have also shared the led circuit diagram and explained the led resistor value calculation with different series parallel led circuit.

Hello Tech StudyCell, I tried to make something like this, and I was surprised with the outcome of my computation, and I need your help if my computation is correct or wrong. These are the data : LED Current : 0.7 A / 700 mA Typical LED Voltage : 3.5 V Input Voltage : 12 V (battery) I desire to use 5 pcs. of 1 watt LED beads in parallel and a series of 2 to generate a 10 watt LED light. Based on the calculation you provided in this video, it shows that I'm gonna use a 1.4 ohm 24.5 watts resistor. Is my computation kinda correct..?? Because I searched a 24.5 watts resistor and there is none, but there is a 25 watts resistor and it's huge the color orange one . Is my project possible..?? Thank you..

Is it better to put a resistor at each parallel branch? I just have one on the positive lead, so far...... I'm driving 2 sets (in parallel) of 5 parallel led's. I tried to explain this so it makes sense. Thanks.

In prinziple your video is good how to calculate resistors. But connecting LEDs or LED strings in parallel with a single pre resistor is a bad practice. The forward voltage of LEDs have a tolerance which lead to an unequal current distribution in the parallel pathes. And in an error case (e.g. one path gets open) the remaining pathes get additional current. More detailed info you can see here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pGnEq2RjnNGEiJI
