Three different motherboards. At least one ought to be like yours, right? How to connect the power button, the reset button, the busy hard drive LED and in this case even the speaker to the mainboard.
Doing this without taking out the motherboard so you see that it's doable in suboptimal situations.

I really wish they would refine the connectors for this it’s easily one of the most annoying parts of building a pc. Just the slightest touch and they fall out and you end up having to remove your gpu and everything near it in order to have enough room to reconnect them. They are so tiny if you aren’t incredibly delicate they will bend or break it’s just ridiculous. Every other connector has a guide line so you always get it the right way and fit correctly so why not these too

You're a lifesaver thank you! I needed to set my restart button as my power button since my power button is sticky even after cleaning and now everything works perfectly

Thank you! For some reason the gigabyte B550X physical manual shipped with the MOBO didn't specify any of this :p

I am such a dumbass. I thought it was my PSU when my PC wouldn't start but I didn't have this plugged in.

Case manufacturers should create a better way to connect it, to make it support older motherboards just include adapters in the case.

My plugs don't have + or - only an arrow I'm guessing the arrow is positive?

on my case the HDD LED wire had an arrow on the back but it was pointing to the Negative (white) wire. Usually when you see a white or a white strip on the wire it's the negative side.

I'm on a quest to see if anybody has thought to make an extension cable for this motherboard socket. If it is not possible to make these connections before installing the MB (and it isn't), and the case is cramped or deep, it is a nightmare to install these horrid microscopic cables. All that is needed to solve this is for some entrepreneur to develop an extension cable. There should be a special prosecutor for the idiot that came up with this scheme. Now to continue my search . . . ..

They exist, just haven’t used them myself. My brother uses them at work he said, on my old case it had a premade block for the pins to be inserted into, it had designations on them where to put everything in. Unfortunately doesn’t fit on more modern mobo’s

I found a thrown away computer, someone carelessly snapped the power switches off the case., tried soldering the wires back on, but the metal legs were gone. Learn't how to remove the power and reset switches and the hdd led.

Thank you alot, taken me about 30minutes of searching the internet to find out that, on the PW cable a triangle indicates Positive. Like how was I meant to know it meant + and not - ?

It's even harder if you don't have access to a manual because the motherboard is like so old, or no internet access. You have to rely on the text that is written on the motherboard, and it's a nightmare when the only thing that is written is obscure text and JFP1.
