How to Connect Setup Sony PS5 to HDMI sound bar

After hours and hours of research and almost paying £200 for a fancy audio extractor/hdmi splitter, I just thought I'd try connecting my ps5 to soundbar as it has hdmi in and hdmi arc, the monitor does not have ARC, but it still works.

Thank you so much! My TV does not Support 5.1 via the optical cabel and this method works and now I can finally use 5.1 but what is very strange that Disney+ doesen't wont to recognize 5.1 and KZbin also not. But Netflix, Blu Rays and prime are working

Connected ps5 through soundbar lost volume control at my Roku remote , soundbar remote now only controls volume so I need two remotes constantly . Any way to make it so I can only use my one Roku remote?

I have a Ps5, LG34gp83a monitor, and a soundbar... I Used an extractor and now my ps5 doesn't allow 4k 60hz or 1080@120... It's doing 1080@60hz and it doesn't think my monitor has HDR... Soooo what can I do until someone actually makes an extractor with HDMI 2.1?

Is there an option for not having a arc hdmi? I’m trying to connect asus monitor to sony soundbar but i can’t , would a 1 in 2 out hdmi adapter from ps5 to monitor and sound bar work?

Probably but that could impact latency in a negative way if your a hard core gamer. A millisecond

I've recently got a ps5. I have a Bose soundbar and rear speakers .. Just realised that sound isn't coming out of my rear speakers ? I've read I have to change it linear PCM but I don't like the sound of it as the bass is dead and it overlay doesn't do it for me. Any ideas as to what I can do ? Soundbar is connected via ARC. I have a Sony tv
