Nah this totally still works bro. I appreciate it💯💯 (Or rather I wouldn’t let it fail. Had to play that game😡😊) Tips i felt like leaving by; If the log in page doesn’t load, turn ON JavaScript in the ‘system->web browser-> JS on settings) and go back to the browser(or pin it to side to prevent constant back n forth) then it should load now. Also if you have a wifi pass make sure to click that at the bottom of the log in page. Bcz u can’t sign into xfinity if you don’t have an acc lol. But a pass is different. It ALSO works. Hope this helped anyone finding some troubles. Had to share the method. Good day brethren

If you are reading this, I assure you that this method no longer works. I’m not saying that it never did work I’m saying that it no longer works anymore. What you’re going to have to do is connect your cellular device to the Xfinity hotspot and if that signal is good on your device connect it via USB directly to your PlayStation 5 As long as the connection is good on your phone, I assure you it’ll be just as good on your PlayStation I’m speaking from experience, I’m speaking as someone who watched a ton of the same videos and was on every Reddit group that I could find mentioning the subject matter, but take it from me to not waste your time just connect your phone directly to the PS5 via USB Your phone will share the hotspot as if your PS5 is connected to it because the phone is connected to the hotspot it’s not using any of its actual data so it’ll run pretty good Again, I’m speaking from experience. I’m literally doing this exact thing right now and everything is running just fine but again as a disclaimer that’s only if the hotspot that you’re connected to is giving off a good signal to your phone.

Sony Playstation be hiring ignorant people these days. They do something right on one console, but lose it on another console. If they were smart enough, they would not tamper with that wifi feature. If they want more people to play playstation and to play online, they must allow people to pay & use internet in their own way. I pay Xfinity wifi by week or sometimes by month. Playstation should pay us customers because we're the ones with the ideas and changes "not those people that they hire."

You have to clear the data and cookies from the "Settings' menu, then 'system', then 'web browser'

It does work for Cox, in the URL for the Hotspot Login page you must change the first MAC Address you see to the WIFI MAC address on your PS5, while trying to connect to the network.

Didn't work for me but thx regardless. Got it to sign into the xfinity account in the browser but it still wouldn't connect to the xfinitywifi. For people that cant do it, try sharing your wifi through your phone, or maybe your computer can share wifi, mine can. So sign in to your devices and share your wifi (xfinity) from there.
