I've used this thing in my classes for almost the whole school year 💀 they ask why is it so big and I said it's for big equations.... Lol, i also spend time optimizing it for it to run smoothly without trouble. It comes with a lot of Chinese spyware that running 24/7 so once i got rid of all of that from it's core it runs fine

My calculator didn't have games, but it had a black and green screen similar to a Game Boy and I used to joke about there being a secret mode that you could activate to play Game Boy games.

I had a TI-84 calculator back in high school that had random games pre-loaded (like math games), but one day before a test, the teacher walked by and factory reset everyone's calculators, which deleted the games :( Also, someone please take one of these big calculators to school and let me know what happens 😂

you know back in 2001-2009 calculator processor were so advanced they outpowered mobile processor? qualcom snpdragon, Mediatek dimensity, even apple bionic havent exist back then. Texas Instrument ( the maker of TI-84) were ahead of their times in ARM cpu development. their calculator cpu were so powerfull they use same architectur to create mobile ARM cpu so top end devices like nokia communicator 9500, E90, HTC mobile, and most windows mobile CE devices start using TI-OMAP procesor made by Texas Instrument. even some first gen android devices by HTC, motorola, and samsung use TI-omap before switch to snapdragon later

back in high school I used to program T-83 calculators with different games. The one that got really popular (and spread to other schools) was Pimp Quest. there was also a mech warrior type game that was going around too that was fairly fun
