@Vicki Clearihan Another thing to check is that all your products are updated to their latest software/firmware versions. Sometimes that can cause issues with connectivity.

They are able to start and end a FaceTime-Call, but the speaker within the iPad isn't loud enough for them. A FaceTime call with the power of an external louder speaker would be great. Thank you!

I followed the instructions of the video (except I have a Sony SRS-XB3 speaker); but the iPad will not pair with the speaker (or vice versa); yet doing this same process with my iPhone - following the same steps, pairing happens quickly - no problem. But this is not the case with the iPad (and I've tried doing this many times)....what's the problem?

Is the speaker connected to another device? Some of the troubleshooters are saying that will hang it up. That you must disconnect it from that other device, then see if it will go.

@neilwood5726 The iPad itself can only output audio to one speaker at a time, but there are a couple ways you could play out of multiple speakers. If you're using a bluetooth speaker from a brand like Sony or JBL, they have a feature where you can daisy chain the audio. That means the brand of the two speakers would need to be the same. You couldn't have one JBL and one Sony playing off the same iPad. The other option would be a wifi based speaker system from a brand like Bose or Sonos. But again, if you're trying to play out of multiple speakers they'd need to be from the same brand.

Are there any limits for wattage and impedance of the speaker to which the Ipad can be connected to. What I mean is what wattage and impedance of the speaker would be best suited for pairing with an Ipad? Also is the clarity of sound better through bluetooth connection or through a wired connection between the two devices?

@rswaminathan9729 No limits on what it can be connected to. Sound is going to be better with a hard wired connection, but the difference is going to be subtle.

@sandyt638 If you haven't already, you may want to try restarting your iPod. Sometimes that's all it takes. If that doesn't work, you may need to do a hard reset on your speaker.

Looked easy enough. I have a mini ipad with bluetooth, a laptop with bluetooth, and a bluetooth speaker. When trying to connect the ipad to the speaker it only does so via the laptop! It has been working ok (successfully paired etc.) then suddenly it stopped working. I want to use the ipad running Spotify on the speaker. Sometimes I want to use the laptop with the speaker via bluetooth. I don't want to use the ipad via the laptop. I've tried switching devices on and off etc. with no joy. Any help appreciated.

If you’re trying to connect and the devices are near you, turn OFF the bluetooth device on your phone and the beatsPill and iPad will connect right away. I notice when I’m trying to play by BeatsPill from my iPad, it “will not” play if the bluetooth on my iphone is turned on. Turn the bluetooth on your phone OFF and your ipad and beatspill will connect. Thanks

I have paired my iPad with my music system .. And it played the music on my library. But when I watch KZbin videos.. AirPlay isn't activated for my music system and it doesn't work even though It's still connected. Also.. I don't face the problem with my other Bluetooth enabled speakers. It works just fine then. @divettamack Once it's paired you can just play music on your smart device and it should come out of the speaker. Volume can be controlled from the buttons on the speaker or from the smart device volume controls.

OK to all those that can’t make it work… you hold down the power button on the speaker or device when it starts to beep let go of the button and you should see the light flashes rapidly …then go back to the settings on the iPad and you should then see it pop up and connect. 😊
