You’re gonna need a Lightning cable to HDMI adapter. Chromebook HDMI is send data only, but anything else should be send&receive

My external monitor was no turning on when I hooked it up. Turns out the C Drive plug from monitor to my computer was not plugged in all the way.

You can select the duplicate display option in the settings or simply drag an application to the sony TV monitor. By default, Chromebook simply extends your laptop monitor but doesn't duplicate it.

I connected my CB to "new" monitor with HDMI cable. but monitor and CB are not in sync. I get one YT on the Monitor and nothing or else different YT on the CB screen. Please help.

I can get the cursor "down" to the CB by dropping all the way down through the tool bar that I have on the bottom edge and that puts me onto the YT playing on the CB screen when I click on CB screen I get this screen audio. Then when I move the courser back up through the CB screen I get back on the monitor video... I only change the audio when I click on the top screen (monitor)... In other words I can play two YT videos but can not get them to do the same thing.

Chromebooks don't have an HDMI port, so you can't use an HDMI cable directly. That's why you need a hub
