just bought a lenova chromebook 3, purchased a USB-C display adapter with 3 HDMI's, but my 3rd monitor isn't being recognized. I've checked connections and can switch the HDMI's to the monitors and they all work, but the 3rd monitor won't display...only the chromebook and 2 of the monitors. Is this a graphics thing built into the chromebook or what exactly....i appreciate any insights

I've used an external monitor with a USB c hub $50, ,, with HDMI out on a Lenovo duet Chromebook tablet because it allows you to charge the Duet with a usb c ( in ) on the hub,, the Hub also provides audio in out Jack, microSD card slots etc

Hello, I purchased Duet3 and when all connected, I see the 2 monitors but I cannot extend the display and use it as one big monitor (It seems that no matter what i do, mirror takes place). Any ideas how to overcome that please ? Thank you

We are using Kensington docking stations with a Chromebook. We have two HDMI outs - one is a display like a projector or large TV, the other is a monitor. Do you know if there is a way to change the primary monitor once you close the Chromebook?

Thank you for the great video. It seems that the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook - 13.3" won't recognize more than one external monitor. I tried 2 and 3 external monitors, but they only show up as a single mirrored external monitor. Have you tested this chromebook?

Try changing the display settings to "Extended", not "Mirrored"

@@treforwalcroft335 It is "Extended". I have 3 screens on. The built-in display, and a secondary display that is outputting to both external monitors. The two external monitors are mirrored between themselves and there is no option to extend or separate them out.

I loved your video, I have a Lenovo YOGA C630 version, Intel i5 8th generation, it has 1 USB C, which in addition to charging, in that port I connect a dockstation to which I connect 2 monitors via HDMI, it has another USB C that is not charging and I connect a USB C to HDMI cable to another monitor and I have a USB A 3.0 left. The dockstation has its own power supply but it only works connected to the charging USB C in the other one, it does not recognize the monitors, the worst of all is that with that configuration it does not It can charge the Chromebook so it drains the battery, do you have any idea of any extra accessories to be able to charge simultaneously while connecting the 3 monitors? I discovered that my 2nd display is showing up as a microphone on my system and messing up my audio. I use a usb-c to hdmi cable and plug into the lightning port. The strange thing is that my extra mon doesn't have any speakers or audio ports

Thinkpad Universal Dock Station model 40AY with HP Chromebook Model: 15-DE0523DX. When I 1st hooked up dock station and chromebook. It appeared to all work including the 2 monitors connected to the dock station... now the only thing that works is mouse and keyboard connected to the dock.. the 2 display port connected to chromebook do not work.

I tried a dual USB c output hub,, but ran into difficulties with 60 Hz and 30 Hz some monitors will only do 60hz,, domestic televisions will do 30hz,, .. horizontal and vertical... it's probably only a temporary bug but I can't rotate an external display through 90 degrees ( Portrait )

Seriously anyone that has an old computer that still works but is slow and sluggish consider installing Chrome FLex OS, it will run on most old computers and quite well. I am running it on a Laptop with 2 gigs ram and its snappy and fluent. It really does give new life to an older PC, also if Google keeps working on this OS and adding features it can be a replacement with Windows 10 goes down the crapper in 2025.

I have an Dell Latitude e6400 with 2 gigs ram that my Aunt gave me it ran windows 10 like crap It was a core 2 duo. , I installed Chrome OS Flex and it runs fluently even on 2 gigs of ram I am surprised, now its one less laptop left out of the landfill.

Turns out when you dont cram as much bloatware as physically possible into an OS for the chips to constantly process. You can get a lot of functionality out of very cheap and efficient chips. A windows laptop capable of this without bricking or bogging down would cost $500-1000

I'm using a docking station to connect two external monitors to my Chromebook- only one of the external monitors is appearing in device display settings but both are connected & displaying. Both external monitors are "mirroring" each other when I'd like them to extend display- any ideas? One monitor has HDMI cable that is plugged into docking station, the other monitor is using the 15 pin cable into the same docking station.

Thumb down, as you did not mention many problems getting 1080P via usb-C on say lenovo Duet. In other words you avoided even mentioning resolution of 720p vs. 1080p and refresh of 30hz and 60hz.
