Not all phones support connecting to a tv check if your phone is mhl compatible and if it is then you can connect it to your tv via a type c to hdmi adapter

new smartphones have type C not normal usb, so you need type C

Hdmi is a standard for media like video, audio and data. Thats why you see it on TVs and monitors. USB C is (U)niversal(S)(B), meaning its a plug that is supposed to able to plug into anythig. Which is why everything is USB. USB C is the newest version of the USB standard. It has a different shape(Reversible) and is more powerful. So it can charge laptops and display a phone signal to a TV. Check compatibility before buying anything!

If you using it to monitor you need hdmi with power supply type on it. 2nd try to turn on debugging.

@@levimichael17 what does mean mhl? For me was easy, bought the cable, plug into my phone and smart tv (hdmi port), switch tv on, choose correct hdmi port (where cable was plugged) and voila, no other settings, no tricks...just plug and play.

@@FlorinDobrea USB-C is not a connector. Not everything needs to be supported. As far as I understood, in the case of Samsung, only Samsung S* support HDMI. Samsung A* (A50, A51,...) don't have HDMI support. You need to check if your phone supports it.

I hate to sound so negative but evidently there is more that you have to do so why have I went through 10 videos where people are just showing this crap and not actually letting us know how to do it it has something in the settings or an app that I'm supposed to download and nobody does it not even on the internet I just don't get it. Sorry you don't have any idea about video orientation and videography. For poor videography the video couldn't be tolerated. Very small display in full screen too.

Video is made in 1080p resolution, where is poor? You can't see it in full screen because i recorded it with the phone in vertical position not horizontal. This video doesn't brick any youtube rules, i`ll suggest to check content policy.
