*This makes my old motor look like a toy **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it's well built. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I'm very sure it will perform just fine.*

This is the best trolling motor I have ever owned. Very powerful and the salt water does not have any affect on it. The reverse is just as powerful. This motor performs just as well as the high dollar motors.

I was looking for this video for a long time. Thanks! How do I know which cable to get between the battery and circuit breaker? I have a 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with a 55lbs trolling motor
@diybatterypower5 ай бұрын
Glad the video helped! We recommend a 4 Gauge 100% copper cable, anything between 9"-16" is fine, depending on where you mount the circuit breaker. Check out Vlynx cables: www.vmaxtanks.com/Cables-_c_70.html

Question, if using a RF reverse Polarity switch for my trolling motor, does that act as a Circuit breaker or do I still need to install one? I’m doing the one speed instead of the multi speed option with ability to reverse
@diybatterypower4 жыл бұрын
Yes it is still recommended to use a circuit breaker to protect your motor from any surges in current. A manual circuit breaker will also allow you to disconnect power from your battery in an emergency situation.

what size of battery cable? I got a 4 AWG 12 inch cable. will that work?

4 gauge is really overkill... Minn kota manual states 8 gauge if shorten then 5 feet

Hey mate, how deep do you submerge your 12v trolling motor into the water and do you have a marker on the motors shaft , noticed some motor mounts/transom are higher than others so wondered how you do it and gauge it or is it set up permanently, thanks.

You should NOT put that positive “on any side”. It’s supposed to go to the area marked BATT and the other area which is marked LOAD goes to the trolling motor. You are misleading a lot of people.
