I'd love to see a version (maybe for 7DMT) where one person gets there really early for early entry, one person gets there right as early entry is starting, and one person at regular rope drop. See how many rides each person can do after 7DMT in the first official hour of park opening.

When we rope dropped as resort guests we were always at the gate one hour before early entry. We walked right on Flight of Passage, also Rise at Hollywood Studios, Remi at Epcot and would have walked on Space Mountain, but it was down. It was early mornings for us for sure, but definitely made our day easier.

Getting to the parks early, even before it opens, is the tip I hear most for catching shorter lines. But I have to say I don't agree with it. If you have to be at the park waiting for it to open so that you can get that shorter line, then you're already in line. It doesn't matter to me if I'm waiting in the actual line or outside the park, at the end of the day I'm waiting to get into that ride. I'm absolutely not a morning person, though, so there's that :)

It's not about the wait for opening vs the wait for Flight of Passage (or whatever the first ride is), it's waiting for opening vs the wait for FOP, River Journey, Everest, Dinosaur. You rope drop FOP, then you have a five minute wait for the other rides and maybe 20 for the safari, or you arrive later, have an hour wait for FOP, then an hour wait for River Journey, then a half hour wait for Everest, then a 20 minute wait for dinosaur, and a forty minute wait for the safari.

We are a complete opposite in strategy, arriving late is a better approach. Today when droves of people are leaving because of the extreme heat, we get on the “Fancy Rides” and wait in standard queues for less than 60 minutes easily around the 5 pm - 7 pm times. Was even a posted time of 40 minutes from 4 pm - 5 pm but that just makes everyone flock to the ride if your not quick. Also, the other late night strategy is to enter those ride queues 15 minutes or so before park closing. We have walked through the line of Rise in about 20 minutes this way. Skip breakfast, sleep in and enjoy the rides.

We were there two Sundays ago. We had genie+ and bought the fancy ride. We were able to walk in between 8:30-9 and do all of the rides alone by 12 thanks to y'all! The crowning moment was when I fiddle faddled for a safari window that opened 10 minutes after I booked it.

MOLLLLLY. Flight of Passage is so much better than you give it credit for. It definitely doesn’t feel 4 minutes. When ended - I said out loud, “I don’t want it to end,” and teared up. I love Soarin, and I know this is the same ride system. This one just feels so different and real, and you really can forget you are on a ride.

1:30 is a great time to get in line due to people getting ready to park hop. Also, post 7:00 depending on when the park closes. Plus I mean Pandora looks amazing at night anyways.

As a resort guest, the key to having as low of a wait time as possible is getting to AK as early as possible. On my recent trip to WDW, I did early entry at AK and was in the first bus from POP at 5:45am. I was the first person in line at security and the first in line at one of the tap-styles. We were let into the park at exactly 7am and I was finished both FoP AND NRJ by 7:40.

I definitely think regardless of being a resort guest or not you should definitely try to rope drop the popular rides like Flight or RotR because then you can have a stress free day knowing you probably won’t have to wait 1.5-2 hours for most other attractions

Flight of Passage is the best ride in the park for sure. I wouldn't call it stressful though. Maybe heart pounding, exciting, spectacular. 😁 It's absolutely incredible. I'm still bothered by paying an extra $11 to ride one ride after already paying huge fees for the park ticket, etc. I love the comparison on which way works better though. We love your videos.

When I ropedrop Animal Kingdom I use the ticket booths as a guide. If I line up in front if the booths FOP is a short wait (30 min or less, walked-on twice); behind the booths is a rather longer wait. The problem with short waits is you don't get to explore the whole lab. And the bathrooms are to the left, near Navi River Journey.

I think we just managed to get lucky. We were non resort people, and got in line later in the day when there was a 95 minute wait. But we ended up waiting only 35 min!! The whole experience was amazing

This might be uncomfortable to say on camera, but I suggest being more upfront about the seat "constriction." The truth is, a very large number of people can't ride this ride because the ride designers messed up and many many many peoples calves don't fit on this ride and they have to do the "walk of shame". It's not simply a matter of being uncomfortable during the ride. They can't ride at all. I wish I had known this before my FOP attempt. It might even be helpful to have some tips from someone demonstrating how to sit on the ride if you are "close" to fitting or to link some other videos that do demonstrate this. All ears is my preffered Disney channel, and I really wish I had understood the "code" of "uncomfortable" before attempting FOP. It was such a disappointing and humiliating end to my otherwise great day at AK last year. Thanks for all the joy and great content you put out so frequently.

$11 to wait 11 minutes seems like a no brainer to me. However its just myself and my husband no kids so $22 in comparison to a larger family i get the costly concerns. But….time is money and a little bit more in the grand scheme of a disney trip to be on that quickly just makes sense to me.

So true. Everything is expensive in disney world. $11 won’t even buy you a meal at most places in the park. Maybe a small snack. I can definitely skip a snack or even skip a few starbucks runs leading up to the trip in order to make my time while at Disney more enjoyable. While I miss free fast pass, I’m pretty impressed with how affordable genie can be (at least for smaller parties like you said). I just went to universal and it was over $100 per person for fast pass and that was a once per ride kind of thing, the big popular rides weren’t included, and I still had an average 15-20 min wait even using the fast pass! Disney is doing fast pass better in my opinion and making it somewhat affordable too. Like you can choose your own adventure and just buy regular genie or just one or two fancy rides rather than having to commit to the $100 ticket like universal. The only thing universal is doing better as far as fast pass goes is including it in the price of deluxe hotels. Everyone in the room gets the unlimited fast pass for free for the entirety of your stay. Disney should start including the regular genie for their deluxe hotels too, but the fast pass line will back up so badly so maybe that’s why I waited 20 min in the fast pass queue at universal 🙄

Question- are there usually lightening lanes available for POF when the park opens if it opens much later than 7:30- meaning- if it had been a 9:00 opening day, would Breedlove still have been able to purchase? Since 7am and opening park at 7:30 are not that far off- I agree- well paid $11- mot sure it would be if I have 4-5 family members however.
