Garden Obsessions thank you! @sonievkay4 жыл бұрын
Elizabeth Davis whats rose did you purchase? and what zone? u need good drainage for the root since roses hate sitting in water. when you water, only aim for the base of the plant and avoid the leaves. another thing is making sure there’s good air circulation flowing through the plant by cuting branches you dont need.

@GardenObsessions5 жыл бұрын
You can use plastic or ceramic but if you experience really cold winters you might want to look for containers with thick plastic or are labeled to protect from frost. Sometimes the ceramic containers can break in the cold, I use Tera cotta out in the garden and wrap the containers with burlap or blankets. You can start with a 5 gallon container for roses. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

On this video we were living atm in North Carolina and we would go to Pender Pines nursery. Now present time we live in Quantico, Virginia and we have more than one local nursery that sells them. Example Meawdows Farms and Merrifields nursery. They are also found at Home Depot and Lowes sometimes early spring. If not our usual go to is ordering online from DA roses early on. 💐💚

What nursery did you buy these from? I live in NC and my sister lives near the coast maybe I can check it out!

Pender Pines when we lived in in Jacksonville NC. They should have them now. We would go as soon as they brought them out because they sell out quick. They do carry a large variety. 💚

You reminded me of something I heard on a KZbin video on English Cottage Gardens: "I don't know if all gardeners are nice people, or if gardening makes nice people." :) Thank you for the recommendations.

I think it works both ways. Gardening absolutely changes people’s lives in a very positive way. 💚💚💚💚💚💚

Garden Obsessions Do you prefer plastic or clay containers for your Roses?

Never used pots for roses! I may have to do that when we move down to FL next year!

They have done wonderful for us in pots. Although we would love them planted in ground so they can grow to their full potential. It’s also a good way to control soil and drainage. We have seen some just looking stunning in containers. Have a beautiful day! 😃💐💚💚💚💚💚💚
