Omg thank you!! Every contouring tutorial I've seen is always of a mua who has a darker skintone than me. I had no idea what shade would look good on my pale skin 😅

for pale people the more taupe shades are perfect dont forget use cool toned shades otherwise anything warm toned you're not contouring you're bronzing so would look awful if you apply warm toned bronzers to where the contour should be

Such a good tip with the concealer over a darker lip colour! Never thought of doing that before, super clever, I'll definitely be trying that!

Rebecca Taylor I used to do it all the time but yeah it's a good little trick. Can be quite drying but this concealer is really creamy so it worked fine x

am i the only one’s whose skin is so pale i can never find a shade light enough, it’d always be a shade or two too dark and just even being one shade too dark is way too noticeable on me

strange shadow and when there’s one of those “find your perfect shade using this quiz” thing and it looks so natural or if i do find my perfect shade anywhere, it’s always SUPER expensive..

@@imcgi I’m so pale I’ve always had to mix white into my foundation and stuff UNTIL Fenty Beauty came out!!! I’m 110 (the palest shade with a cool undertone) and it’s PERFECT! It’s the first time over ever found a foundation and concealer that was my exact match as is

@@imcgi Fenty has a matte, hydrating, and powder foundation and also a concealer so it’s perfect since Riri made something that works for everyone’s skin! It’s also an amazing price for what you get, a lot of people think it’s pricey but one bottle of foundation lasts me like a year since you hardly need to use any the coverage is so amazing😁

I also used to dye my brows being a redhead. However, by 30 they became so thin and sparse I gave up and went bk to blond pencils and the odd powder. B careful doll. Fellow redhead. Quit the irons too. Curly girl methods taken yrs off me, after 'the big chop' my hairs thick looking like yours too. Could never KEEP its porosity down tho...? Am loving learning about curls. There's SOOO much to it. I'm guessing you ve type 2a-3a coursish curls hiding in there...? Takes months to transition but you d really look STUNNING into your late thirties and 40's, I'm 37 & was feeling quite drab as I still have thr urge to throw on makeup I loved when ur age. The natural hairdo, graduated bob that chopped off all the dried ruined hair (as transitioning with even shoulder length cut was laborious. Brushing, finger coiling, applying correct products in proper order (serum LAST after diffusion for example) I was literally 2hrs just styling n drying. For crappy results. So if u fancy a change, your hairs probably not as damaged as mine was, check out CG method. Also as there's not a decent young lassie from the UK making use of the niche either. Well, love n light from one ginger to another. 🦊🐕🏴

Im a redhead, pale with freckles. I don't use foundation because it looks weird when my freckles are covered up. I found that using a blush to contour looks more natural for me. It looks like I got a little rosy flush from being outside or something. It's my favorite makeup trick I've learned. I used to attempt contour with bronze makeup and it always looked so weird and obvious so I thought..okay..Ill try blush instead and it works:)

Is it 14 different shades of "white" skin, or does it come in shades suitable for darker skin tones as well? If not, I wouldn't say the range is that diverse. This isn't a comment specifically towards Rosie, it just happens to be in this video where I cannot help to notice the really twisted view the majority of make up companies have of "a big range of shades". There are a lot more skin tones than "white" out there. I hope in the future a lot more people will have a different idea of what that means! :) xx
@SophiaSierra7 жыл бұрын
It does come in darker tones as well! If you check the link Rosie left in the description box you can see the shades :) There are, sadly, more light tones than dark ones, but there are 4-5 darker ones that surprised me since drugstore makeup tends to be directed to people with light skin tones!

As a pale person (porcelain white pale I mean) it's actually getting harder to find good material/guidance inspiration out there, I tried typing in and thought there would be a lot of options, but there aren't many good videos, a lot of them are people who don't look natural, the makeup isn't well done and it's a mess. All the contouring or "bronzing" I've seen hasn't been for pale pale skin and it's not talked about but darker skinned girls (my girlfriends in uni or even on YT) can get away with tons of makeup and it's no problem, if I wore that much I'd look like I'm going clubbing or just wrong. I'll give L'Oreal foundation & concealers a go then, thanks :)
